Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

I'm really happy with the rest of the invites though, I just really feel as though Minigun is one of the best NA Protoss behind TT1 and Kiwikaki and deserves an invite.
Great 1st post lol... made me laugh because its true, Fenix has been TERRIBLE of late, it seems like he is getting his invite on what he did at the beginning of SC2, which is kinda a joke.

this is awesome cant wait to see it unfold! best of luck to NASL players

I did not realize that, thank you for the info!

North American StarLeague invites North Americans to play in online tournament on North American server. Injustice?

Going to miss Dimaga in this one!! oh well! GLADE FIGHTING!!! ~

Great lineup. Obviously people are going to qq about certain selections no matter who is picked but overall I think they tried to get folks from all regions and did a pretty good job. People whining about too many usa players or lesser known canadians are seriously braindead, its the freaking NASL, duh. Thats like saying gsl has too many koreans in it. They also gave some chance to players with potential which is nice to see, like Grubby. Watched his stream a few times, you can tell hes gonna be sick good soon enough, his wc3 micro is quite evident and impressive. The korean picks are pretty cool too, you got the fan favorites boxer/nada, the guys who have made an effort to compete in international tourneys already and then of course the beast MC. Really looking forward to NASL after seeing how well the nonkoreans did in the showmatch on gomtv, just shows you that there are great players outside korea and you can make a very competative high level tournament without all koreans.

They said they wanted players to have stories for the NASL. Tbh Minigun's is one of the best out there.
When he first started playing he had absolutely no experience of playing a RTS game like probably millions of people that play Starcraft 2 now. He started off in Gold league. He got brought here by Husky ffs who doesn't exactly know the game inside out. And he's slowly but surely grinded his way to the top. He was number one in the ladder for weeks. And has gotten to a point where he's now in one of the best foreign teams period. He's got some great results of late and the learning curve for him has been massive. He could be an inspirational to every lower league guy out there who is slowly picking the game up. That you don't need to have a massive WC3 or BW background to be good at this game. If you practice hard enough, you can be up there with the best.

Ah well, still going to be great. It's pretty much impossible to justify Bomber over some code S koreans as he has never made it to GSL and only just now qualified for code A Yet Squirtle is in. I was actually referring to some of the lesser known US/european players, but I guess it's understandable why they were chosen. Code A qualifications are pretty random, GSL placement isn't the only measure of a Korean's skill.

QXC left ROOT tho before half the invites were announced, and LAN exprienence should not determine who gets into (half)online/(half)LAN tourneys when the game doesn't even have a LAN mode...

That rule was abolished though iirc. And qxc left root so technically they only have 4 ( slush drewbie catz kiwi). Although probably they already made the selection before that. But it shouldn't be a factor still since Xeris said the 5 per team was abolished.
It does seem that Mini falls prey to the " we try to include all teams possible" I think he would have been invited for sure if he were still InflowMini considering his decent tournament and clan war records.
Not saying the policy is a bad one. Just bad luck for mini to be a victim of circumstances i guess.

I'm pretty glad to see that Artosis got in. He may not have any tournament wins or results in SC2, but he's just been SUCH a pillar of the community for SO long. It's like with Boxer, no one cares that he hasn't been impressive or gotten any tournament wins, but you just GOTTA have him around, ya know?
