Agreed, he lookedl like he couldn't be beaten.

Even the games he lost before the up/down matches seemed to be flukes or just unlucky, maybe he's just in a slump

It's weird how this game is playing out like that but I feel it's totally true. There were times when toss had no answer for terran and people couldn't figure out good ways to expand vs. Zerg, was just a 4-gate coin flip. I'm sure there's an answer for this, so many tools each race has.

Mech also has no hope. You can't prevent an extremely quick 3rd and protoss can abuse the immobility really good, also Mech isn't even that great, there are many 200/200 toss compositions who can put up an even fight. With mech you really need to crush the protoss, if you have 4 tanks left, it's not engough. He can just warp in 10 zealots. Maybe on a map like Terminus Re, but idk.

id say slump explains it best. hes making silly errors that he wasnt making before, and he looks totally stressed out every game he loses. like that scan vs dts, and the worker misclick in the 3rd are mistakes a relaxed mvp wouldnt be making, imo.

u might be right, but i think mech deserves a second looking at. after all jinro did beat mc with it. no offense to jinro but hes not as good as mc, and pvt is his worst matchup on top of that, so yeah

im actually kinda happy that tier 1 isnt enough for terran any more at least v p.

Maps are proving tough for terran in this matchup for reasons I think alot of people predicted. Then you see people like boxer get knocked down and its not a huge surprise because hes a little washed up compared to this new generation of players. I would have not expected MVP to lose two best of threes though regardless of match or matchup. Was he pulling SCVs with his attacks or something? Im at work and haven't gotten to watch the games... I just see people saying he played poorly. Was it mostly him playing poorly or his opponents playing solid or some combination of both?

I think Mvp is in a slump. It happens even to the very best (look at savior). I took a glance at Mvps ladder ranking and it's dropped a ton recently. Maybe he has something going on with his personal life? Whatever the reason may be, I don't think he's currently in tip top shape, though I hope he comes back soon because I really enjoyed watching his games. It's so weird because like you said, if you interviewed any code s player, they would say Mvp is the best player in the game. Something must be going wrong.
