Both recent tournaments that had korean invites got run over by the koreans.

If this takes away from the players going to MLG Dallas, I'm going to be pissed. Prestige and Korea vs The World is nice and all, but I'd much rather have players I could actually see in person. EDIT: Apparently they announced this a long time ago. So nevermind about the intentional stuff. Nonetheless, as a MLG Dallas attendee, I am saddened at the loss the LAN will inevitably suffer as a result of the conflict.

The scheduling conflict thing is kind of bad, though.

I'm curious, too. If you qualify are you going to skip MLG for the GSL world championship in Korea?

In any case, we'll be treated with 2 nice sc2 events at that time, how can we be sad about that? time to get a 2nd monitor if you don't have one already! ![]()

Plus, I bet you get to stay at the foreigner house and train on the Korean server without any lag. For sure, we won't see Jinro at MLG because he's qualified for the world championship already.

Well, that's "intel extreme masters", but the name "global starcraft league" does commit a bit. ^^ And in China there was no sc2 during that time yet, officially. Officially, it was planned as follows: 4 from European championship 2 from NA championship 1 from SEA championship 4 invites from Korea (one of them turning out to be Idra) 1 from the global challenge (more like european challenge, though)

I can see it being just an exhibition since the main event is the 16 player tournament. Can you imagine if they sent out mvp first and he 8-0 the world team? There's no way they'd send either Nestea, Mvp or (assumedly MC) out first if they want to make a show lol. They would probably bring in someone like Genius or Rainbow (heck even Rain) just to make it interesting.

Heh well we won't see someone like rain in it cause the korean players are based on gsl points earned to date. It's pretty much guaranteed that MC will have enough points right now and the two finalists of this season should gain enough points as well.
