Oh i'm sorry... I didn't mean to offend,
Can I recommend a different font choice for the players names? A sans-serif would be nice.

Since it's being casted from replays i don't think it'll interfere with other live tournaments such as MLG. Really excited for this, really hoping idra participates.

The prize pool for this tournament is way higher then MLG Dallas tho.

But you know you have 8 Bosses guarding it ;P (TOP 8 of GSL based on points)

Haha, yeah even though the last place prize is ~2600$, MLG is a lotttt of fun and the seeded players need to continue to win points because it is a huge advantage in the following MLG's

Also it is pretty scary to have to defeat the 8 bosses that are guarding 1st place prize

Only the EU,NA, Asia qualifiers are done from replays (which technically are run now - players are now working out the times at which they would play, and the referees approved by GOM)
After the qualifications players will be flown by GOM to Korea and the event will be live. So from 28th to 9th it will be live. In which 2 days will be used for Team match rest for the individual tournament.

If he secures one of the 2 spots for NA server (He has like 50% of chance).
HuK is a favorite in NA preliminary. Fenix might try to clear his name after his fiasco at IEM so he might try even harder now.

I'm really excited for the GSL World Championships. Kudos to GOM. So, if Huk goes through qualifiers, he and Jinro will not be at MLG Dallas? I guess it'll only be Tyler, Ret, Haypro, and TLO at Dallas.

Replays will be broadcasted instead of live broadcasts. Details about match and broadcasting schedule will be announced later.

Clarification on the Prize Pool. If this is the "World Championship" that GSL announced in December/January, then here's the break down in terms of prize distribution.

World Championship
1st: 30,000,000 Won (~27,000 dollars)
2nd: 15,000,000 Won (~13,500 dollars)
3rd-4th: 10,000,000 Won (~9,000 dollars)
5th-8th: 5,000,000 Won (~4,500 dollars)
8th-16th: 3,000,000 Won (~2,700 dollars)

Total: 112,000,000 won (100,000 dollars)

This means that everyone is guaranteed at least 2,700 dollars because this is a 16 player tournament. Sweet deal for the players. This would make it easier for NA folks to skip MLG Dallas.

edit- Had the total dollar amount wrong. Fixed it.

Makes me think im not alone about not caring much about NASL.

On topic: i love you gom.

Well thinking about it more than I did, shouldnt matter too much since NASL is online. Have fun drinking the haterade.

will the team matches be bo3 or just like proleague? 4 wins seems like it could be a potential short night if MVP comes out first for korea. Frankly i would say Jinro (best world player) still has no chance vs MVP in tvt (who does? closest one is mkp and lol..) and he will just all kill the rest.

NASL should not be affected by this. NASL is primarily online except for the top 16 which should be sometime during the end of May considering their 2 month schedule. This thing ends April 9th so I don't see any conflicts.

Anyways real excited about this. Interested in seeing how more and more people stack up against the Koreans is always interesting to see. Even if they crash and burn they at least played against the best. No shame in that.

I'm so scared for an 8 kill All-kill in the world team league lol.

I don't think any of the players except Jinro have a chance at taking games off anyone except maybe Nada (and depending on who the other players are).

Also, the NA possibilities are pretty weak, HuK will probably take a spot and everyone else will likely get dominated into oblivion, PainUser is on the same level as TT1 imo, and Fenix was rolled ridiculously in IEM World.

Asia is probably Sen which hopefully he can perform decently.

If that's the case I don't understand why Idra or Ret would decline. Perhaps they've revised the prize pool since then, because $2,700 + free ticket is a tad generous.
