Yes - all FXOpen events will award ladder points.

this is gonna be siiiiiiiick again! my eyes bulged when i saw f91, especially pumped to see his play.
suggestion: tlpd-ize the names in the invite list in case people don't remember some of the past accomplishments of players
question: what will the url to the bracket be?
|
So which oGs player is going to win this time?

If only we had the benefit of hindsight... I seriously can't believe we didn't realise when coming up with the name.

Can't wait to see F91 and some of them Prime guys in action.

FXOpen has become one of my favorite online tourney with good mix of NA/EU/KR/SEA players. Can't wait :D

deL! Thanks for dropping by the stream last night. Had a lot of fun casting Sheth!
Good Luck with the tourney! I'm sure it will be a huge success. Much love

Excited for this, as I am for all FXOpen events.

Nice! Cool to see another one of these so quickly. I love the great mix of players you get. Hopefully there won't be as many no-shows this time, but I'm sure it's tough trying to run a tournament with players in so many different parts of the world.
Nice map pool as well! I am very happy to see no Scrap Station and it will be interesting to see Typhon Peaks in competitive play. WIll you consider using the MLG version of Metalopolis that removes the possibility of close by ground positions?
Also, I like your threads, very nice looking and organized

Sounds awesome, I could do the spanish stream I am qualified for it if you guys would like.
really good to hear from this!

FXO definitely becoming a very prestigious tournament! It'll be 1000x harder for foreigners once the prime team manager doesn't mix up AM/PM

really good to hear from this! We always love additional language streams but it's really getting quite crowded and we don't want the spectacle to suffer due to lag or overcrowding. Will get back to you if thoughts change regarding this, though!

F91 FIGHTING! My only complaint about these tournaments is that for the kind of thing this is turning into I wish it weren't an invitational. IMO fully open tournaments with maybe half the spots seeded to previous competitors get to be much more prestigious.

I imagine FXO is taking it cautiously on that front simply because open tournaments are harder to organise.

Yeah I'm sure the organization and sponsorship/viewership things are a big part of their decision and that makes sense to me. I just feel like we have a lot of invitationals(which I would normally think of as "special events" that are cool to win but not REALLY the way to prove yourself) and it can perhaps make the scene feel a little claustrophobic or hard to break into. The TL Opens were really amazing though.

Big opens with a large prizepool are too messy before you set up your own site for running them.
|
Also with big open tournaments, you get so many walkovers, and sooooooooooooo many games not worth watching We believe our qualifiers will be a substitute for that as they are conditional qualifiers.
Thanks alot for the support guys.
