![]() This should clear up the idra "controversy". Translation: Me: Hi, could you tell us what idra was shouting at the morrow interview? We couldn't hear that on the stream. TLO: he didn't shout anything, was only laughing a bit, totally harmless` `

Imagine this: A person who has never played RTS-games sees someone playing starcraft and judges it after a minute of spectating to be the most boring and useless game ever. That's exactly what you are doing. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can disrespect it. Bit too riled up there, are ya? You shouldn't be surprised Starcraft is the preferred game series on a Starcraft website. I agree that you shouldn't hate unnecessarily but saying game X looks boring isn't hating, you're just saying it looks boring, and compared to just finding an actual football game Fifa sure as hell looks dull to me.

we play war. :| correct, but in fact most games relate to war. i think about that occasionally but it never seems to get me anywhere except for the cheesy insight, thta playing games that are related to war is better than to actually make war.

When starcraft goes for a break, these ignorant fools are exposed to some other e-sports that they think is automatically inferior to starcraft fifa is vastly inferior to stracraft in every aspect the fps games are good shit, even if they may not be up everyone's alley lol could be amazing but luck is a major mechanic in its gameplay, moreso than say dota, and completely opposed to say bloodline champs, hence, it is inferior to sc, but entertaining nonetheless it's not necessarily ignorance, and if it is, it isn't as ignorant and/or insulting as your post right here since it's everyone's right to their own opinion, so at least don't assume people are uninformed or don't care when they say something if you can't respect their opinions edit: now, let's see some tlownage

The only problem is his accent, which many germans have, for example the pronounciation of th is kind of bad for us. But nevertheless, he is easily understandable, so quit bitching. He is also aware of the fact that his English isnt quite where it could be. The main thing that people are wondering is, since it is german accent , why is it always the germans who are so harsh towards him. I literally see very few non german complain about TLO's english. Not a flame or anything, just an observation. First: TLO does a terrific job, brilliant interviews, very entertaining casting. Now I can only speak for myself but every time I hear a German accent I feel ashamed of my own accent. I know that for me, this plays an important role as to why I don't like to be reminded of it. But then again TLO does really really great imho. It's just that his pronunciation is terrible for someone from Germany who's from an environment (gaming) which advocates English. Probably we just have higher standards for German people, because we want to be proud when they represent us in the international scene. He speaks very well and is easy to understand for me. I'm a native english speaker and he speaks much better english than I speak german. lol. I think he does a great job and I have some problems with understanding accents of casters at times. I agree, I think TLO's English is perfectly fine. It'd be silly to expect him to sound like an American or even someone from England etc. On the very rare occasion is there a word where he'll use it incorrectly, but it's not too hard to figure out what he meant. Personally the only trouble I have with European casters and even Asian casters for that matter, is that they talk way too fast. It's almost like they don't understand the purpose of commas and periods when they're speaking(which it not being a native language, is completely understandable). My only whine ..slow down the speech! ![]() I also think it's reasonable for not just other Germans, but even Europeans to complain more about his English than someone who speaks English because it's a foreign language to them as well. Speaking foreign languages for me to other say Americans, is an absolute nightmare at times. ><
