Zerg played pretty badly. But still. Huk engaged the battles beautifully.

Zealots fighting lings while Immortals/Stalkers fight roaches.

Zealot+Immortal+Templar against lings, roaches and Infestors
then blink stalkers under the broodlords.

Gotta give it to the man.

TvT I think is the most entertaining mirror match, there are just so many viable builds. From MMM, to tank/viking, iEchoic's hellion/air play, ghost rush (that was insane from Noblesse vs Makaprime), etc.

No the zerg was just really bad. Not denying third expansion. Not teching while he was ahead. And then even late game he had every opportunity to win. He did the only thing he shouldn't have in pumping ultras against zealots and immortals :s

He denied his third for like 10 minutes, what are you talking about ? The only problem was the same problem as ever, when he made ultra he had nothing else. Ultra with a mass of lings are good, ultras with some balings are goods. Just ultras are bad.

Lets face it.. the zerg 2 base all-inned the first game, 1 base all-inned the 2nd game and tried to play a macro game in the 3rd and failed some key decisions... Huk deserved to take that shit.. wp man!

I have to disagree. The Zerg (TSL_Revival) played brilliantly except for some key decisions at the end.

- The first game countered Huk's play (3 Gates heavy sentry play), even if Huk was caught off position.

- The second game is a direct counter to the forge-expand unless the Protoss gets at least 3 cannons. But, honestly, nice pressure control by Huk, that was amazing on his part, a situation where probably all of us would have lost.

- The third game was an amazing play by TSL_Revival. His downfall was his late game unit composition.

I must say, yes Huk won, amazing late crisis management on the second game and amazing late game decisions on the third game, but his opponent is far from being some run-over.

Huk played sloppy all 3 games. I think he's a damn good player, but he played sloppy. It wasn't so much that Huk won, but Revival lost.

You're giving HuK too much credit on the second game, that was TSL_Revival's failure at target selection. If Revival had opted for the picking off the Forge earlier, it would of been over. It had nothing to do with Huk trying to play sim city.

In game 3, Revival was on 4 base while Huk was staying on 2 for a decent time. Revival didn't play aggressive enough with his broodlords (let alone much at all) when they popped and he focused too much on Ultralisks in the end game.

Regardless, I think Huk deserves a spot in Code S, but his play today was very poor.

Huks control in game 3 was godlike, the only toss that plays at that level of control is MC and im not even a big huk fan but he deserves credit where its due, that fight at his second natural was amazing

I'm not sure what game you were watching, but I wouldn't describe his micro as godlike, he had some very good storms and very good forcefields, but that doesn't warrant his miss micro of blink stalkers vs broodlords early on and the fact that Revival wasn't microing well (pairing Lings against Zealots and Roaches and Stalkers). Also, I wouldn't even begin to say his macro was above average.

Revival blundered that game to Huk.

I recall a game against Nestea, the best Z in the world imho, when Nestea had half of the map with muta/ling and huk made an amazing come back. He made Nestea look almost as bad as he made Revival look this game.

It was featured on day9 #239:

http://blip.tv/file/4633439

wowow I have to say this. Your saying that zerg didn't make any mistakes? Your saying that huks pvz is really good late game which it probably is but to say that it was huks playing and not the zergs mistakes just isn't true.

Why did he keep pumping out ultra's against 4+ immortals + a ton of zealots? Why did he keep attacking in bad positions and then letting huk get another 2 bases? That was his mistakes huk played good and capitalized on the zergs mistakes but to say huks pvz is just so good that is why he won is wrong it was the zerg throwing away his game.

No, I'm saying that the zerg made mistakes and huk capitalized on those so hard that they became game ending, and the Z looked foolish. If huk hadn't reacted perfectly, the Z wouldn't have looked so bad.

The observer is average on those bug maps. He missed some stuff today, same in ret games (and that's understandable, more and more stuff happens at the same time on those maps)

Virus going for a huge marine army, but he needs to be more aggressive to keep the armies mid-size

Probably the Zerg wasn't used to the Huk's army composition, it's really nice to see something different from VR/Collosi deathball
