A bad GSL is a GSL where all the top players win over and over and over and over and there is no competition or "wow" games.
San just impressed everyone when nobody expected it, that's much better than "herp derp MVP/nestea/MC wins again guys! lets go home and try again next month"
You're half right. I think it's an huge upset and not very good for epic games in the later rounds of the GSL, if the best players in the world get knocked out that early. I mean I love this GSL Season by now because we have so many good makro matches and even some epic ones. This is really really great but I feel sad about Nestea and Mvp because they would be the reason (if they were not knocked out) for epic games in the later rounds because of their great makro and multitasking skills.
This Season is weird and I feel sc2 is a little bid random.

3/4th match and then 1st/2nd match. They need to play out to see who's the best in group to play against 2nd in the other group today

Champions Curse.
TSL_Fruitdealer wins GSL 1 -> Loses to bitbybitprime next season in RO16 I believe it was. IMNestea wins GSL 2 -> Loses to TSL_Rain next season in RO8. oGsMC wins GSL 3 -> Loses to Jinro in RO16 2 times. IMMVP Wins GSL4 -> Loses to Julyzerg in RO32 2 times.
Also IM Won the GSTL and all their guys are losing now!

Damn, I wanted Nestea, Boxer and Ensnare to all go through...

Getting top 2 in Code A just is worth so much now -- Mvp, NesTea, BoxeR, TOP and RainBOw o_O!!! Well, rainbow hasn't been doing anything the past couple of seasons, either he's been unlucky or people have left him behind.

I think the reality is that the scene is still very young and it will be in a state of flux for a while yet.

Nestea vs Boxer on Shakuras Plateau. Artosis talking about the barracks cheese that Boxer tried last time the two played on this map. (Two barracks at the watchtower, tried the four barracks mid wall-off which barely failed.)

It seems like they will get the last picks from the Code A players, which should mean that they may have an easier time surviving the up/down matches since they will probably be up against the weaker Code A players who didn't get far and thus get last picks. I'm not worried for them. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a Code A player with JulyZerg-esque balls picks the upsets just to prove their worth. Also, I wish GSL had a wider repertoire of Kpop music videos to show during breaks. I'm starting to get a bit tired of these two Secret songs, especially "Shy Boy." Madonna is sill alright, but something about Shy Boy annoys me a bit more. It's like some special endorsement deal, which is why they're doing it. Same with the Secret player announcements and messages, and eventual performance.
I doubt anybody sane would pick MVP. However the possibility of someone picking Boxer is very real, as defeating Boxer and knocking him to Code A will garner considerable attention. Negative attention, but attention nonetheless considering we don't really care about the guys in Code A.

I'm tired of people thinking every macro game is good. Game 4 was one of the biggest travesties I've ever seen. Literally the only thing Nestea had to do to secure an advantage/win was maintain some semblance of not completely unintelligible army positioning and he seemed completely incapable of that. It was honestly bizarre, made me kind of physically sick to watch it happen.

If someone bet money on SanZenith and Ensare winning over boxer and nestea, they are probably rich right now.

Well...at least we get to see Boxer vs. NesTea.
I missed most of this and don't normally catch the streams live...is there going to be a long break before the next group starts?

I think all these zergs wanted huge maps so they wouldn't get rushed and they could macro. However they didn't think about the fact that the opponent can also macro like crazy.

Absolutely agree, and it wasn't even close. Fantastically fun games to watch, both wins were well deserved. This is turning out to be a great GSL season!
