I'd bet that he overcome his nerve issues together with TONS of practice. And since he's still Code S he can't have been thaaat bad before either. He just made silly mistakes costing him games and I guess that was becuase of nerves.

The thing about SanZenith is nobody ever really gave him a chance.

GSL Season 1 - knocked about by someone with maybe the best PvP in the world (oGsInCa).

GSL Season 2 - after knocking out Hyperdub, he gets knocked out by Check after failing infamously in the first game with the manner cannon blocking his nexus for his Forge FE (a build not really viable on DQ, esp with the roach buff at that time).

GSL Season 3 - did not qualify, but luckily, for him, got a R16 and a R32 finish which was enough to get Code S.

GSL Code S S1 - he played 2 games. Both were PvP, which are his worst matchup, against (of all people) oGsInCa and oGsMC. It is pretty harsh to judge him for failing in both of these.

Up and Down matches - plays a Bo3 against Legalmind, and takes it 2-1, again a PvP.

GSL Code S S2 - well we all saw what happened.

If you exclude the PvPs for a moment, the only bad games he has ever played were against Check in Season 2, where he clearly went on tilt after manner cannoning his own Nexus in the first game (this happens sometimes). He has taken down Torch, MaruPrime, Hyperdub, Ensnare, and Boxer in PvT with an 80% w/l ratio, and we only saw his PvZ briefly back in S2 against Check before the game vs Nestea. Suffice to say, there wasn't enough evidence to call him bad, in my opinion.
