I just realized, didn't Zenith merge with NEX to form ZENEX? Why is SanZenith still using the Zenith tag?

Nestea going out was a big suprise, but I honeslty don't understand why people are suprised by Boxer going out. No offense, but he's not that great compared to everybody else right now. He got into code S in a TvT run in season 2 and now he's even been figured out in that MU. He really isn't code S material at all

SanZenith is my hero. I've been shocked in all three games he played in today.

Hope his PvP is up to par, if it is, he actually has a shot at taking it I think if he can continue this.

i agree totally. i also dont get boxers thought process behind his strat against nestea. the push through the backrocks is tried and tested and he got the correct positions, why didnt he do that? cheesing arguably the best anti cheese zerg in the world just seems counter-intuitive to me.

Lyn was so close to loosing the final match against Lyn. At around 10:00 BanBan is at 90 supply while Lyn is at 70 supply. Then BanBan decides it's a good idea to sacrifice a few units and sends them after the retreating Terran army to die. At around 12:00 they are about equal in supply at 95...

Choya handled Lyn quite easily and BanBan would have killed him if it weren't for his snarfing. If Lyn comes up against somebody like MC he is going down.

I have no idea what was going through Choya's head in the deciding match against TheWind. His build was.... less than awesome to say the least. He used 300 minerals to postpone the expansion by something like 15 seconds. Not too smart to pull that against somebody like TheWind, he was probably thinking: "Oh, so you are denying me gas while using lots of minerals yourself, what can that possibly be? Let me see, Dark Templars? Gonna build some Spore Crawlers then while I get my gas."

Btw, going with a Cybernetics Core to block the hatchery instead of a gateway is just weird. It has a little more hp, but it finishes 15 seconds faster so you it's 15 seconds less cancel time on it. I checked and going with the Gateway and cancelling at the last moment would at the most have let the hatchery go down 5-10 seconds earlier, saving 112 minerals...

Boxer is arguably a low-mid level Code S player (checking his TLPD) but last night was brutal.

The loss to Ensnare was unfortunate (build-order), but losing to San was inexcusable as that was a straight macro game (and San out-macro'd and had a better army comp), and cheesing Nestea (even with his tricks), is just not a smart call.

Oh, ok. I was confused because they still used SanZenith as his name during the match.

SanZenith is scary good. He played such inspiring and amazing games transitioning brilliantly and using his tech abuseivly and agressively. He is one of my favourite protoss after his preformance. Now I just need Genius to make it out and that would be my dream final.

The wind isn't a protoss which is good for San I hope he beats him :D. Good for Lyn too he is really impressing me, although he is still a little sloppy and agressive he's making it work.

First MVP and now nestea? I'm quickly losing faith in SC2 as a viable esport when top players are losing first round. Games are simply too random and fragile in my eyes.

Where is the consistancy?

The word "favorite" will soon be banned on the forums because it doesn't actually hold any value.

Its really to get attached and idolize the SC2 players knowing that one day he'll be dominating tournaments to next day get knocked out first round.

it is more exciting when more people are making it into the higher rounds. same people every tournament is boring. this is far better for entertainment. once people figure out the best builds and how to play, maybe we will see flash and jaedong in the finals every time, and then we go back to seeing the same boring stuff over and over again.

consistency is important. People don't like watching upsets/flukes where someone beats a better player only to lose the next round. Basketball wouldn't be as exciting if MJ didn't have 2 3-peats. It's when we have 1 person dominating everything that we go "woah, how the fuck is this guy this good?"

If players are quickly being recycled through every single season we'll never favorites, we'll never have upsets, we'll never have rivalry, we'll never have a rich SC2 history.. because guess what:

Nothing will stand out in the blur of random players and everybody will expect upsets so the meaning of that word has no value anyway.

How can that be more entertaining?

Who can forget bisu vs savior finals which stopping savior dominance, or oov's dominant era, or julyzergs comeback to win the golden mouse? Effort defeating Flash? Stork finally winning his first gold as the constant silver medalist?

I just want some godamn consistency.
