It's going to be LEGEN..wait for it..DARY!
Awesome players, awesome caster(s). Looking forward to this!
wow two great players! think incontrol might walk away the victor though
depends on whether or not drewbie does his goofy builds. If we see mass reaper too many times Drewbie prolly lose.
Gonna be fun to watch, predict great games, with drewbie coming out on top! Good luck to both
Gogo drewbie!
drewb's TvP is unfortunately his weakest
potential to be epic, dauym
iNcontroL will win 3-1
Here is how this will go down. Drewbie will win the first game. Making him 1-0 (stay with me here) Then iNcontroL will win the series 3-1? Why? Because the domination of the next 3 games will make drewbie forfeit the final game from embarrassment!
didnt drewbie just roflstomp his way to 3800 on EU ladder?

Drewbie to be the victor. Great to see the GSL maps put to use!

yeah he did, but he played alot of unknown "baddies" and he had lots of bonus pool and high mmr, so he got lots of points for winning, not losing much for losing, kinda like naniwa who got to 4k diamond. (he was in modified division too tho)

drewbie actually has three ladder accounts that are all very high up there. He plays a LOT. =o
It doesn't matter which player wins here, both are so gewd.
i love inControl, but I believe drewbie hasthe upper hand here
cant wait to see how top NA players do on the GSL maps.
Pretty sweet showmatch. GO GO EG INCONTROL!
I like these showcase type match ups. Hope there are more in the future!

Drewbie always talks about TvP being his weakest. Can't wait to see how this turns out :D
I think he has had some good practice and assumingly improvement TvP lately, but still dislike the matchup. Gonna be exciting to see how this will turn out, my prediction is 4-1 in drewbies favor.
im donnt have to favor incontrol in this 1, his TvP is pretty good and he knows how to abuse protoss strengths.
lookin forward to it

Yeah, I was watching him practice his 1-base builds on the Korean ladder, fun stuff!
Hmmmm. I have a ton of respect for Drewbie but he's one of my favorite players but I have InControl winning. Drewbie's TvP just isn't as good as his other matchups.
i love drewbie, but in tvp, i gotta with the protoss
Gonna be exciting and fun to watch, i think Drewbie takes it 4-2, lategame TvP gets exponentially harder as the game continues so it will be all about drewbie getting an early advantage or a strong 2-3base push
I am so glad I made them play on Crossfire SE! Such a cool map and they use the features brilliantly.
Pretty sure Tyler destroyed Drewbie pretty recently...although Drewbie has been looking a lot better on his stream since then.
Ow ow! The poll is awfully close!
incontrol is a beast.
(are there any watches that fits his hand size?)
I love our community=)
really like both players they are great in every way!

I'm not sure if people are still voting for their favorite, or if they're trying to keep the poll close. =P
Uploading the games now! I had to use a new feature for one of the games because it's so ridiculous. x.x
Incontrol has this, under control.
3-1 prediction from me too.
I hope Incontrol takes this. For some reason I just love that rude, ranting guy. Just so funny and charismatic.
Two of my favorite players
Will the replays (of these casted replays) be posted on this thread so we can watch them if we can't see them the first time around? 3 PM on a Thursday is a really awkward time
Yeah, on his channel, AskJoshy.
I want incontrol to win, but i kinda think drewbie will..
Drewbie actually won a TvP series in the ROOT invitational, it was pretty unbelievable. I thought he was destined to lose every TvP but maybe someone fed him a moonstone.
Somebody "likes" iNcontroL? really? LIKES? pfft, fans those days. If you don't LOVE iNcontroL, you should just go hug a horse and wear pirate shirts. Oh god some people...
I hope this turns into an awesome match with tons of "trash talk". I wanna see dancing zealots and manner mules! SPICE IT UP!
There's no way the inventor of the Flash build can lose! Let's go Drewbie!
Like em both from a pure spectator point of view(ye I'm not taking SOTG too seriously) so it's hard to predict an outcome....so uh....both players hwaiteeeeenh!!
Gonna be sweet either way though, cant wait!
Recent Accomplishments: Assisted Evil Geniuses in winning the Machinima Realm Invitational
Didn't he play like 3 matches and lost 2 of them?
Either way hope incontrol wins anyway .
InControl wins probably something like 4-2
Only a couple of hours 'til these games go live, and the poll is still 50/50... good to see that the scale isn't tipped to far in either direction, means these players are pretty balanced. =D
I can't wait!!! I hope IC does some mass gateway upgrade craziness! I love those beefy stalkers and zealots that never die. I'm so happy I have the day off- there are so many wonderful sc2 events to follow these days-- not to mention laddering! Nerd chills!!!!!!!
Will be a great match! We do not get to watch many of US online tournaments over here because of the bad timezones, so thanks for doing it in a good EU time
When I see polls this close I try and even it up HF guys. bring good games.
Apparently they also play each other in rnd 1 of FXOpen. This is a good practice match...
drewbie has this easy... while i like incontrol, he is quite a personality in the sc2 scene... but his skills aint that good... 4-1 or 4-2 drewbie
Hope Geoff dominates and drewbie BMs!
Looking forward to games, thanks for casting.
it was 257 incontrol 255 drewbie and i STILL voted for incontrol. that's how awesome I am
Drewbie got this. Reapers ftw
Drewbie, expect double forge madness.
What is the address for the stream?
Should be great! Solid idea Josh.
wow sick awesome giveaways :D
can you update the OP with results or at least a full map list?
why are they still playing jungle basin?
Extremely dissapointed in Incontrols play I just don't see how he could've lost game 3 :/
+ Show Spoiler +some nice games. gg to both players but very well played by drewbie

Some awesome production on these Josh, really liking the little embedded video for when there's action going on elsewhere on the map and you obviously can't be covering 2 places at once.
Decent games, hopefully we can see more showmatches in the future =)
Someone has already messaged me on YouTube, putting up $75 of his own cash! =o
Just need to pick the right players, hehe.
Very cool games. And it seems my prediction about the winner were correct.
Great job Josh!
+ Show Spoiler +great play by drewbie! Love seeing some reapers in action
Congrats to the winner, definitely deserved.
Thanks for watching folks, makes me happy to bring you guys exclusive content. =)
great games, very well played by drewbie.
i've watched game #3 twice now and i still don't really understand how incontrol lost that game.

He kinda overcommitted while not expanding for a long time, also drewbie played the defense very well combined with couple of missile turrets preventing the void rays from moving for the kill.
Overall this was a very entertaining serie, love to see such showmatches between great players ! Thanks for whoever sponsored the prizepool and players <3
I loved the reapers by drewbie, I thought they were crap ever since they received the big nerf but he used them to great effect and proved me wrong.
Gotta love it when somebody puts in $100 of their own so we can have cool matches like these. We should all give a big thanks to the guy who was generous enough to do so. I think thats a defining factor of Starcraft, but more specifically the TL community as such.
Whilst I am no perfect member, it's still very cool to see.
Thumbs up for the event and the anonymous sponsor. Showmatches like this are a really nice addition to what the scene already has to offer.
The games themselves were nice to watch, but I was kind of disappointed by ...
+ Show Spoiler + ..Incontrol's play. Drewbie outplayed him in some of the games and he failed to use clear advantages in others. In the last game, it didn't even seem like he wanted to fight anymore.
I hate to be that guy but it has to be said. Incontrol isn't a top 10 US player and people need to stop seeing him like he is one. I know Artosis says his pvz is great but that is like saying your child is the smartest on the short bus. You can spend your money however you want but if you want better games get tyler or kiwikaki. He is a cool personality but he should stick to casting and i think hes a genuinely funny guy

Its kinda irrelevant to rank players in or out of top10 because the game is still very inconsistent. I believe all of the players who like placed in top 16 in major tournaments have a chance of winning major events on a good day and with a lucky streak. Of course we can see difference in skill in individual games between the good and the best players, but one mistake in positioning can cost you the 15min game of perfection.
TL/DR Cut the players some slack result wise and enjoy the great entertainment they offer.
+ Show Spoiler +Game 3 was quite bad by Incontrol. Had a huge advantage and decided to all in instead of containing and expanding. A good old Artosis quote comes to mind " When you"re ahead get more ahead ".

Also, if they had even played on a different day, or different time of day, things could have gone differently. No respect lost for either player, it's just how the game goes and in a showmatch, you only have one chance to get it right.
I saw the games and i think incontrol lost 2 games that he could have won if he just expanded instead of trying to end the game after he made huge damage.. JB and metapolis i believe. (but who am i do know better) but he aknowledge he lost those games when he had advantage
drewbie is not a push over.. the reapers might have a use with the new bigger maps imo he played it very nice
thank you
Epic games! I love Drewbie :D The reaper play on the first map was really fun to watch. I don't think I've ever seen reapers used to that extent before.

what an unbelivably offensive post for no reason at all. he has given more to this community than pretty much everyone on TL. he doesn't win a bo7 vs a great terran player and all of a sudden hes getting shit on? inc is a solid, solid protoss so relax
Josh, AMAZING production and commentary. Made this really enjoyable to watch, even if the games weren't that great. You definitely made me a fan of your content through sheer effort alone.
+ Show Spoiler +Don't know why incontrol played so gimmicky instead of matching drewbies expansions. He's a better defensive player than he is at executing 1 base styles - he must have been having an off day. The one game he almost won, he executed really well, but was supported pretty heavily by drewbie's misread, and he still didn't win! Now, as an avid fan of drewbie's stream, his defense and harassment decisions are incredible. Incontrol was basically just banging his head into a brick wall, making for pretty lackluster games
Where can we get the replays? Thanks Josh, amazing stuff as always.
Give it a couple more days and I'll release the replays. I want people to watch the videos, of course. =)
