I typically leave work at 5 PM and get home at like 5:30 or so. My brother and I are very hyped up, but will not even be able to sit down and start watching until 5:30-6:00 ish. Shoot!
I'm sure it will become a VOD, which is cool, but we want the live experience! We're going to try and make it though. I'm sure you selected 5 PM for a good reason, but imho that is like a half an hour to an hour too early for most working folk. Then again, I'm only taking into account the East Coast (like most programming networks).
Thanks, iNcontrol!
I exist also.

You're right, and a lot of people have mentioned Europe and other places that iNcontrol is trying to accommodate. I get it.
But, if this is the inaugural episode of the North American Starcraft League, Eastern Standard Time is the time telecasted services are syndicated with in NA. Some of the bigger productions have split telecasting (East and West Coast Feeds). I was in the "North America" mind set when I made my quote, not realizing at the moment that maybe he is trying to pick a median time for NA and EU.
Clearly I was not suggesting that you, ParasitJonte, do not in fact exist ;P

wooh, I think I'll actually stay and watch this
FYI my first SC2 LR experience, so for the next 4 hours, and the past of my life, I will have been "inexperienced"
And then, I'll have "that climactic, exciting experience"
And after that, I'll be "experienceD"

It's quite possible NASL and this announcement are unrelated (but I doubt it). Regardless, we'll know what NASL's countdown thing is about before the showmatch.
Also 5p.m. EST is a really weird time for a Monday. I guess other people get today off? It is a holiday for some I guess.

It's a holiday for all of north America isn't it??? Canada we have family day stat holiday, and im pretty sure there's a holiday in the states aswel? Pretty good date to host this if you are catering to the NA audience at least. Not sure about the timezones in EU however.

i have the night off from tutoring so i am sooooo pumped to be able to catch this live!!

Someone on Reddit said that the NASL clock will always countdown to 2PM your local time instead of 2PM Pacific. It's a bug. It should be counting down to the showmatch.

My local time is Pacific and for me, it's counting down to 10:00am. (-4 hours.)

I'm in Portugal and the show will go at 22h GSM time and for central europe it's like 23h so it's pretty good imo even for eastern europe it's like 24h.. it's late but acceptable for Jinro vs idra!
I'm really looking forward to this.. they are my absolute favorite players
The angry gracken nerd versus Gorrila terran !!
and i also want to see what incontrol is cooking!

I haven't actually checked the NASL site myself, I was going on what other people in the thread had said. Although it seems like the countdown timer is borked regardless so it doesn't matter if you're east coast, west coast, etc.
E: Most Americans don't get President's Day off, in case any foreigners are wondering.
