Not sure if this is the best place to get event feedback read, but oh well.
I'm sure that the event organizers and casters are aware of some or all of these issues, but I'll add my two cents to the pile anyway:
-The audio desync issues are obviously unacceptable in a professional-grade cast. I kept the stream audio off probably 90% of the time--it was too obnoxious trying to figure out whether I should know what the casters were talking about or if the audio had desynced yet again
-Some truly bizarre things occurred in terms of interaction between the video of the casters and the video of the games, including showing the casters full-size with the game in the background and occasionally showing only the casters during the games. I have no idea whether any of these were intentional, but in my opinion, none of them should have been happening. They were universally distracting and detrimental.
-Personally, I would do away with the picture-in-picture video of the casters. Look at the GSL, day9's dailies, the TSL Qualifier semis/finals broadcasts, the IEM broadcasts--all of the best-produced and most professional SC2 casts leave that picture-in-picture out. NASL and related events should follow suit. There's more than enough time between sets to build a visual rapport with the audience.
-The pre-game interviews were way too long. I know that part of the NASL plan is to build the audience's relationship with the personalities of the players via similar content and I think that's a great plan, but if you're going to show that content directly before a match it has to be more focused. Artosis' interviews were paced too slowly and weren't hype-oriented to the degree they should have been. I think those interviews lasted around 15 or 20 minutes total--half that time at most would be a vast improvement. If the audience is told that a bo7 starts at 14:00 then I really think they should be seeing games by 14:10.
I loved the games and I think Inc/Gretorp will be great as a casting team with some more experience. They seemed pretty nervous this time around, which is understandable given the incredible hype they generated for the event.

Enough about the stream issues, de-sync issues, and the lag issues, the truely biggest issue was Gretorp never said how handsome he is
On a serious note the matches were amazing, it was a shame about those issues but they can be fixed and the only direction in which this can go it up so its a good thing these issues were shown in a show match and not some massive tournament. I loved Incontroll and Gretorps casting. I am glad my fellow european won :D

Incontrol+Gretorp simply cannot carry this, and the sooner they get DJWheat or Day9 in there the better. I was far more entertained with Kelly+Tasteless than Gretorp+Incontrol, and the reason I pay for every GSL (and maybe NASL) is because of the fun casting. Frankly Incontrol, or at least the people investing in this production, should wise up and get on their hands and knees to beg Husky and HD to do some casts, IF they want to appeal to a broader audience.
And if we are to follow Incontrol's example from yesterday, we should restream the casts and it will be fairplay as long as we are dubbing with trashtalk about the players and commentators. GET SOME??
You reap what you sow. Incontrol will now have to answer to everyone's very real criticism and because of how he has trashed on other casters as recently as yesterday, it won't be undeserved.

well i have to say, after this gigantic hyping up and this tons of trahstalk in the directions of other casters - incontrol just failed big time on the clash of the titans casting thingy.
i really like what hes doing for the community but that sucked. turned off the stream after game 2 because it was so bad...

well then you missed 3 awe-inspiring games towards the end and that is frankly your loss. it was incontrol's first time doing anything of this magnitude and while the desync issue was pretty stupid/inexcusable/whatever, at least it served as an adequate foundation for incontrol/gretorp etc to work on for the actual nasl. alot of unfair judgments being thrown around in this thread and its fucking annoying tbh.

Amazing games.
Fucking amazing job getting the money and setting up a player run nasl. Time to see if he can stand behind what he told MLG to do.
Do agree that incontrol deserve whatever casting critique he gets after ripping on casters for quite a bit. (I'm not saying that I dislike casters just some might resent ...) bwhaha on a sillier side would love to see his total biscuit impression return. Do think bits of production were less than expected after hype. (admittedly a NASA launch probably couldnt match the great hype). I will more likely than not buy a season 1 ticket for April.

I just saw the vods. While I enjoyed (some) of the games, the whole thing - production value, commentary and general atmosphere - didn't live up to the ridiculous hype built up beforehand ("Clash of the Titans"). It was semi-decent entertainment but not more than that.
Out of sync casting replays and Incontrol just sitting there looking grumpy most of the time did it for me. Considering this was supposed to be the introduction to the high-profile NASL, they could have done a much better job.

The biggest thing to happen in western esports.
Lost a lot of faith in NASL and in incontrol.

Just not to compare that it's only 7-9months of playing sc2.

I think the annoying off-sync problem made the casting sound much worse than it actually was. I thought the pair did a fine job. Neither caster dominated over the other one. They spoke clearly in good voice tones, and they analyzed the games pretty well. They may not have been cracking jokes like Tasteless does in GSL, but comedy isn't very high up on my priority list when I watch these high level games. Much better than Kelly's first day in GSL in my opinion, but I suppose she isn't exactly the gold standard of casting.

To bad I missed this. But nice to here that Jinro yet again proved that he is the nr 1 SC2 player outside korea.

I think the games were great and casting was okay, they need to step up their production though :S

It all needs work, especially the casting/production, maybe some humble pie is on order... Either way its fantastic news, good luck for the rest of the year

tbh. there is no unfair judgements.... when someone tells you over and over again that person x sucks and person y is so stupid and bad and then comes up with a desynced, prerecorded replaycast where the casters are shown in the middle of the game. its just a huge dissapointment staying up all night to realize the stream lags like crazy, watching in on 240p or 360 p and have crazy bad desynced commentary.
im just sayin man. i still like EG and Incontrol i still love IdrA and Jinro and everything but that "Clash of the Titans" thing just sucked. period. the games were great, no doubt about it. ( seen all games now)
but i really wish that the casters just stop bitching around on each other and just cast. you ever heared sports caster complain about others? thats an eSports only thing i guess...

Is there a VoD of this up somewhere?

I really would like to see a business model for NASL. The cost seem so large (400k in prizes, staff to upload and edit, whatever location the tournaments are held, ect) That i have a hard time believing advertising revenue is gonna cover it. Dont get me wrong i like whats going on, it just seems unsustainable to me.
