When? - Each showmatch will take place on Wednesday at 20:00 GMT/21:00 CET/15:00 EST/5:00 KST
I personally believe showmatches are the best and most entertaining way to showcase top players and get sponsorship dollars directly into the hands of the people that deserve them. I'll be providing sponsorship funds from my site Cynicalbrit.com, alongside the two sponsors named above, both of whom have shown tremendous support for eSports considering they are both small startups with limited budgets. Hope to see you all there, should be a riot.
Posters
Posters will be added here as they get made. HuK vs TLO was very short notice so nothing for them.
Looking forward to it although I might not be able to watch the live streams, so might have to watch to VoDs. Still awesome, and I can't wait. Good job TotalBiscuit.

That match was actually arranged by them as a grudge-match and has been given to me to cast. I think they said something about the prize being 'a pound of flesh, no more no less', whatever that means.
hahahahaahahahaahahahahahahahaa Darkforce vs ActionJezus ! Lold like hell. Action Jesuz couldnt win even if darkforce was playing without mouse and keyboard. who the hell would want to watch this rapefiesta!
Holy.. no words can describe how much I look forward to seeing HuK vs TLO! Ever since loserbracket in MLG Dallas have I wanted to see a rematch, now my dreams come true!
Very very interesting... So that's what Mr Biscuit's been plotting in the background... high level showmatches with some really fun players! Going to be fun to watch in the coming weeks.

It was MLG dallas losers bracket, also so excited about TLO vs white-ra, TLO will probably loose but will do so with brilliance!
I really wanna know how TLO and White-Ra feel about each other. Considering the way they present themselves, I doubt there's any hard feelings, but they play each other so much I'm curious as to whether they've become friends or rivals. Or both :D
I'm interested to see how Socke holds up against Morrow, but I am definitely looking forward to yet another match between TLO and WhiteRa. I'm a fan of TLO and won't mind if he wins, but I'm still rooting for WhiteRa as always. Thank you TB!
I hope this becomes a permanent venture and we have show matches every week starting rivalries and settling the score once and for all between friends and foes.

Wonderful games galore approaching.
I might end up going broke if I keep that up, but if I can secure the sponsorship by proving the model gives a good return on investment, certainly.
4 awesome matchups (go actionjesus). I love the pimpest play bonus since it encourages crazy play and should result in some fun play. AJ will probably lose the match, but he'll get those 50$ for sure.
oh man thanks a LOT to totalbiscuit. absoluteley love your youtube channel and even more so the effort you put into it. its very much appreciated.
btw: also love it that you will get to cast Assembly Winter. =)
Edit: you could do some King of the Hill style showmatches with a small prize for the winner. only if you get a sponsor though, just something like 50€ a week or so

Just make everybody play for a hunk of flesh and you'll be golden.
This.....is....... AWESOME!!!!!! Huk vs TLO, no money involved just pride on the line, will the Canadian son of Auir take it or does the Random German walk away with the glory?!?!?!?! We shall soon find out

I read lust without the blood for some reason... lol. can't wait for this, liquid matches are always so entertaining.
Oh I read CET/15:00 but it was 21:00 CET/ ... good thing I asked, thanks for the response
EDIT : Wait - thats at the same time as TL.net staff forum tourney ... and you cast both.
Who is from the future now !
EDIT2:
TL.net staff tourney kicks off with today the preliminary matches as casted by TotalBiscuit! It'll start right after the Huk vs TLO match which kicks off at 21:00 CET.
And Shoutcraft is as always unwatcheable for me, pity i realy enjoy TB's comentary. I does not work for me in a reasonable way even when i lower it to 240p. I thought it was Justn.tv foult, but today i watched some stream from justin and it was just fine. Dont know whats wrong here. Sigh.
I can't get any streams from justin.tv to open, at all. I'm in Germany. I just get a big white box where the stream should be, and firefox says "Done."

I discovered that it might have something to do with flash player and 32-bit vs. 64-bit software. I reinstalled flash on explorer 32-bit (i have 64-bit machine), and it works again.
TLO scouted Huk's secret 6 oclock base a tad slow. But still, the zergling funnel into forcefields was great. I srsly thought huk was going lose all his stalkers and it was a major mistake but BAM, he manages to get away and forcefield away.
Im not a zerg player but I kinda feel for zergs when I see 15 FFs like that. TLO had good spread, he couldnt get a bigger arc, yet it wasnt even close.

Indeed, you can't let Protoss get death deathball, you need to keep trading armies to keep the colossi count in check while teching up to the higher stuff as much as you can and as much as it is possible to do so.
Although, map just does not favor the Zerg in any way vs a Deathball. You need to hit the deathball more than one time to beat it, without a good deal of distance for your reinforcements to pop, it is almost impossible to win with Z as Protoss firepower is sick.

You can't expect people to spout rainbows and sunshine if they're feeling the opposite. Looking at TLO's last couple of games, you can understand why some people are disappointed. Also, there's very little QQ, just people expressing disappointment at some of the play displayed.
Interesting how easily it seemed for TLO to begin with in the PvP, following up with losing with the races that he's said before that he feels more secure to play with. Maybe his protoss is better than we all thought or he was just being lucky?

Either way, great games
Well folks, we all know how TLO loves to impress the crowd or to satisfy the spectators viewpleasure. Cause of that TLO's play involves much more risky play and crazy strats and pushs.
If he would play the standard solid stuff i think he would have won more games.

I think so too, but for me, as a totaly fan of him, i am pissed, that it seems like he is focused more on entertaining than in playing successful. I love the crazy things he does and after a 2-0 he can do something like this in game 3 or even 4, but then he should get back to a more solid gameplay. He has one of the biggest fanbases in the world and so much potential, but he should be a bit more successful, cause in the end, that is what professionals are playing for... If he would win a few more cups or bigger tournaments, he would be the most loved player in the world by far.

As far as I understand this is a showmatch done for our entertainment. I'm sure he'll play differently in a bigger tournament.

Yes, of course, but it had been nice, if he would have won! He lost the Showmatch to qcx, too, after he was 2-0 in front... He dissapointed in the Homestory Cup... The TSL Qualifier seems to be good. The only thing he has won, after coming back from Korea, was the poker idol cup....
White-Ra for example is alot more succseful, but hasn´t got such a big fanbase. The point i mean is, if he qould be playing a bit more oriented to succses, he would be the absolutly greatest without any doubt...

winning one out of 2 LAN events you participated in (beating later IEM winner Sjow 3-2 and 3-0 while doing so), getting to Semifinals and Finals in the only TLOpens he played and having a pretty good record in the teamleagues (in 1vs1 at least) isn't too shabby.

err...TLO beat qxc 3-1 even with 2 d/c with him in advantage, get your facts right. Also he has won the 3rd most in prize in 2011 among the non koreans residing in outside of korea, right behind white-ra and Sjow. http://ehcg.djgamblore.com./

Yes, you are right, and i do not want to flame, i watch everything i am able to. Teamleague i forgot, there he is quite good at the moment. But somehow, i got the feeling, that there could be more succses, if he qould play a bit more solid. In the end, i can´t realy tell, if it is so, cause i am not playing at this level by far and it is his own desciccion, how he plays. I just wanted to say, that for me as a big fan, it sometimes seems like, he is playing a bit sloppy.
I missed the first few games and had trouble with the stream during the last few, will replays be released for the showmatch any time soon? Would love to see the games that I missed

kk, my fault. Do u have the links to it? want to check it out. I think TLO's main weakness is that he is too aggressive, its almost as he is playing with his house on fire, needing to win and then call the firefighters.

he got ill the next day so that he a) couldn't attend day2 and couldn't commentate the IEM finals 1 week later. Under that circumstances you can't expect him to do so well.
SjoW was also sick during the tournament (PokerIdol) he lost to TLO but still made it to the finals. Just saying.

Either way, great games
During the beta his protoss was by far his weakest race, but lately it's looked really strong. At the TL Open in the finals against WhiteRa, he won both of the PvPs and lost the Terran/Zerg matchups. His protoss micro was pretty impressive.
Pretty good event. Good casting, but really terrible chat moderators, one in particular. It kind of ruined the experience not being able to chat during the whole thing.
I wasn't i the chat the whole time, but people were just getting kicked for ridiculous things. I got kicked for asking what game in the series it was and was told "in the topic"... which it wasn't. Some other guy got kicked for typing "TotalBiscuit, hey there." And many, many others just like it.
Half of the chat was just the mods laughing it up with each other.

Really, really bad.
I'll be removing all the moderators since there were so many complaints and assigning new ones with very strict rules. It does sound like the way completely OTT.
Wow really impressed, can notice the change in Huks play, micro and gamesense gone way up and he has some nice builds, but tlo still has him beat in terms of pure mechanics and intelligence imo
The games were great. I'm surprised at the matches HuK lost. As a random player, that's usually a weaker match up.Thanks to TB for getting this together. Its been forever since we last saw HuK play competitively.
The showmatch will be delayed til tomorrow due to GCI starting an hour late and now running all the way into the tiebreaker match. Same time, same details, just moving it til tomorrow.
FYI the Morrow vs Socke match will be postponed until tomorrow due to the issues with Battle.net yesterday. As a result, they need time to get the games rescheduled and played.

On a seperate note, awesome map. Blizzard, add this to your map pool immediately!! We need more games like the one we just saw.
Wait, I thought that Socke was behind all game long after he lost his ~5 colossi because of a misclick (?).
Hey hey! Just came across this thread and wow, I'm just on time. I've seen the last game (MorroW impresses me more and more every week). How were the first two games? Results? Cheers!
I didn't understand what socke was doing in game 4. It looked like he was faking a 3 gate expo and 4 gating instead but maybe he was faking a 4 gate and doing some weird expo instead. It did force Morrow to make a ton of roaches early on and to be overly aggressive with them. But yeah I'm still a little confused by that.

I think he sniffed out MorroW's huge ling roach aggression with his hallucinated phoenix and wanted to get cannons and immortals out as soon as he could. If a zerg does a push like that, getting a slower expansion doesn't make that much of difference especially if you've been keeping up with the probe production.
I dunno, Morrow really messed up by letting him transition to storm and take that 4th and 5th base for free
Socke made a terrible attack when he was taking his third. Lost lots of collosus + sentries and Morrow had a lot of corruptors and was still maxed. Felt like he could have killed Sockes third pretty easily before he was fully transitioned to storm.
At the very least he should have done something. He was ahead 60 food and let Socke take his 4th and 5th base uncontested. Once you have that much gas as protoss you can pretty much do anything
His hive was really late too. He had some amazing baneling drops though. Its really rare to see a zerg destroy a maxed protoss army straight up like that.. Socke had ~6 collosus + storm and a lot of blink stalkers and Morrow just killed it

I cannot change thread titles to the best of my knowledge.

Well yes they will be, those vods are not complete due to the connection issues during the broadcast, the complete, properly mastered and edited VoDs will be put on Youtube tomorrow and will be linked at that time.

The TLO vs Whitera series will be delayed since I haven't received the reps from them yet and they're now at IEM so one assumes they won't be playing them before tomorrow.
