I love the prize format, certainly gives players an incentive to fight for every game. I also like that the prize adds up for each tier instead of just being a flat make the ro8 and you get $40. Although I suppose you could really just re-jig it so that ro16 nets you $20 if you get past ro16 you lose that $20 but get $60 instead..... but I just like the way the tiers adding up feels, it would feel like you are making more money in some ways.
When there is nothing left to lose but your dignity, it is already gone.

Nani, aren't you going to Finland for the Winter Assembly? Here's your group:

Group N : 11.2. 22:00->

Why don't you practice for that tour? You can look at your opponent's replays .

I didn't get invited either! This is some blasphemy I tell you what!

Looks like an awesome time, wish it was an open tournament not invitational so I could participate ... should have done it like TSL, make a qualifier to add a few wildcards into the game!

We might be adding qualifiers in for future tournaments, but for right now the invitational format works out fairly well for us and helps us lock down sponsors when they knew for sure who is playing.

Also, as previously stated, a factor in determining who got invites was based on their available playtime for the North American time zones, and thus largely based on the top North American teams. At some point in the future we are open to expanding our reach but not in this event.

Ahh, so we won't get any Team Liquid members in the tourney except for possibly Tyler?

Thanks for the consideration SunDevil <3. I do believe the TSL3 Format would work just as fine, as you can still have the big names for the sponsors but some wildcards on the side as well for new aspiring gamers, and fun for the community

After we reveal the entire bracket we will be putting up the polls, so in about a week. You'll be able to vote 4 times, once for each block of 4 games, to determine what game from that 4 game block will be cast.

You've ensnared me. First the awesome payout structure which I think is great for the players, and now your slow bracket reveal and promise of future giveaways ensures that I'll be checking this thread more often than is healthy.
