The Competo StarCraft 2 Cup is a weekly EU cup, which is always held on Monday at 18:30 CET. Every Monday some of the best players from all over Europe partcipate in this cup. The cup can have up to 1024 players. Everyone is allowed to sign up! It doenst matter, if you are for example playing in the Bronze, Silver or Diamond league.
Besides, we have got a StarCraft 2 2on2 Cup, which is held every second week. It starts on Thursdays at 18:30 CET. It's open for everyone as well.

Please reconsider the maps. Agria Valley and Jungle Basin are already horrible but Nightmare is even worse. Imo Crossfire is a joke for PvZ (I might be wrong there) and Aiur Garden is the only good map (might be wrong again).
Also I thought that LT and Jungle Basin are already in the map pool?
I'd really love to see iCCup Testbug and iCCup Pawn Re added. ESL added them to their map pool (and removed the bad maps) and I think we should aim for the same map pool in all the EU (and possibly NA) tournaments right now. I haven't heard any complaints about those 2 maps from high level players so far (quite the contrary, they seem to be very positive about them).
Unless we now for a fact that the GSL maps are perfectly balanced I'm against adding them to our tournaments, cause we would be dependent on GOMTV/their mapmakers and we don't know how quick they can or will react to feedback about imbalances with their maps (while on the other hand I'm sure we can trust the iCCup team to listen to all the feedback and react really fast if needed).
And please don't add more bad Blizzard maps, that's pointless since Blizzard sucks at map mapmaking and more importantly: they will not react to our feedback!
So please consider this when making map pool changes. I hope other weekly tournaments do so as well, so we can make the transition from only ladder maps to some/all custom maps in the map pool as smooth as possible.

Totally agree, the iCCup maps are already quite known and for example in Pawn Re thread Morrow said he realy likes that map.
Aiur Garden is (imo) too big. Yes, there are more macro games, but too many expansion and a too big map is not the right way.
In your poll, yes Aiurs and perhaps Crossfire get the most votes, but consider please the iccup maps.

So the winner could veto out the map the looser choose? I could see that would be useful as long as tourneys use super one-way favoured maps, like steppes, DQ and jungle basin.

Why do some casters insist on believing that showing a webcam picture of them casting adds any kind of value at all to the stream? Especially when (as is the case right now on the competo stream) the dude is eating something while casting.
Casters are not and should not be made the focal point of the games. It's super distracting and adds nothing valuable at all (even when he's not eating btw which he shouldn't do regardless)
Since we're all german here, let me put it this way. Can you imagine watching a champions league game all the while having a picture of Wolff Fuss in the bottom right corner the whole time? I couldn't and would switch off the TV, just like I just switched off the stream (and I guess you guys like more viewers rather than less).
I know the stream is free and I appreciate that you guys do a lot for Esports. I just don't understand why you'd want to deliberately make the stream worse.
Let's say I just don't pay attention to the dude and manage to not get distracted by him, then still he blocks the bottom right panel of the screen where we can see whether or not certain abilities (like stim) have been researched etc. Production tab will never be open at all times so when a few marines are selected it's a convenient way to see whether they have stim or not by looking at that portion of the screen.
Maybe I'm completely missing the point of that webcam, in which case I apologize. If so, could you please tell me what exactly the benefits are for the stream to have it?

The german cast is done by MrPink. We just cover his stream here on TL.net. I dont know, if he reads this thread. If you dont like his cast, you could choose our second CompetoTV stream, which is done by Special Endrey on english. We always have two or three casts, so that there is the right one for everyone.

I am listening him for about 5 minutes now and even though I would really like to see the Cup streamed in German, he is just such a terrible streamer (I am pretty sure it is the worst one that exists or at least the worst one I know), I have to switch... But bad casting is also casting... grats!

@Soul, it doenst make sense to discus about streamers at this point. The casters vary and therefore your flaming doesn't make any sense. For example I don't even know atm. which caster you are flaming in this post ...
If you don't like a stream, you can still switch to another one, because no one forces you to stay on a certain stream. A last thing: Before you complain someone for offering his time to give you the chance to watch a SC2 Livestream, you should think about casting on your own.
Or to say it on German (I see you are from Germany): "Mach's besser!"

On last cup (27.06.2011) there is mistake in bracket
I have won with diestar 2-0 in semifinals and then lost to sYz 0-2
Syz invited me to final series before I have entered the result thats why propably the mistake in a bracket's score
Can you fix that please so it can be linked on my team's site? Special Endrey and tFFmrpink (i think) can confirm that inforation becouse they were ingame.
