I want to see an intense micro game. I want to see a game involving two drunken russian guys fighting in air with battlecruisers. I want to see a game with a nuke(even if it's 7 of them going off at once) that is the deciding factor.
If you make at least 2 of these happen this could possibly be the greatest finals ever, so far.
Yeah this thread is quite premature. However I'm not particularly looking forward to this finals, i think its automatically more boring given the mirror match scenario.
Maybe if there wasn't so many TvTs leading up to finals it would be more exciting.

I strongly disagree that this will be boring.
This is not BW TvT where it's tank lines vs tank lines. MVP and MKP have wildly different styles. MVP represents the best and most refined model of standard Terran play, yet MKP possesses a unique hyper-aggressive, infantry-centric style that is guaranteed to contrast with whatever standard stuff MVP throws at him.
I have a feeling that most of the games tonight will be a showdown between MKP's strong bio play against a conventional, though strong, mech play that MVP may muster up.
I wholeheartedly agree. I have single digit IQ btw.
There are a lot of people out there that just hate mirror matchups in general, they think they are boring because there is 90% of the time lack of diversity (But as with every other matchup in the GSL, there isen't that much diversity).
I only hate TvT when they go Marine/tank/viking and just make the game last half an hour. If these two can make it different (Which I think they will), this will not be that bad of a finals.
TvT isn't that bad to watch so long as it doesn't devolve into tank/viking for an hour. If anything this series will be the most exciting TvT to see since SC2 has been released. Two very different styles, will be exciting to see who wins.
Man this series is probably the most i've ever looked forward to a tvt.
My thoughts and opinions. MVP: Very solid and strong player that can play and win in any situation on any map. He is probably the #1 player. Excels at macro and timing attacks. MKP: His 1 base FE is scary crazy and it works because of how good his unit micro is. His bio play means base trades will always work in his favor.
Game 1: MKP will go for proxy rax and try to pressure early while expanding, then will switch into mmm play so he can drop a lot. MVP will go for 1 base banshee -> expansion play. MKP will win because of his earlier expansion and he excellent defending of the banshee. MKP wins.
Game 2: Spawn in close positions. MKP will go 1 rax FE and then try a stim timing attack. MVP will go for a siege tank expand and hold off MVP's attack with a lead. MKP will try to respond with some sort of tech (banshee, tanks, etc), but will lose his expansion. MVP wins
Game 3: MKP will go 1 base FE, make 2 more rax and hold a xel'naga tower. He will then break his rocks at his gold and take a very fast third. MVP will again siege expand, but will not be able to apply enough pressure. MKP wins war of attrition.
Game 4: Both players will go 2 rax and do heavy one basing. Both players will then go siege tank and expand while making a bunker wall at the natural. MKP will drop the main while MVP is pushing towards the expansion. Both players will base trade with MVP having the advantage of having more vikings winning him a really long game. MVP wins.
Game 5: Players will spawn cross positions. MKP will 1 rax FE, break his back rocks and expand again very quickly while MVP goes for banshees. Banshee will do a lot of damage while MVP is expanding, but MKP will counter with a drop in the main killing off even more workers. MKP will expand again to the main close to MVP and then do a huge 4 base timing push with something like 80 marines and 10 medivacs. The result will be even, but MKP will be way ahead on bases and win with another timing push. MKP wins.
Game 6: Players will spawn on close by air positions. MVP will try to 1 rax FE, but MKP will 2 rax resulting in a very early win. MKP wins GSL 4!!!!
As someone who usually watches friggin everything both in BW and SC2, im not going to watch GSL finals this year, im just soooooo bored of TvT, even though im a fan of MVP ever since he switched i just cant stand another one of those. I will watch OSL finals though

yourrrrrrrrr loss. Considering every other final except the one with MK has been a walkover, I expect this to be good.
