MKP didn't "make" MVP be the insane scary player that he is except on the Metalopolis game, where he countered his build, scouted the CC, and pre-empted the doom drop. He just played to weird/poorly the other 3 games to give MVP a chance to showcase why he's considered the best by so many of his peers. If anything, playing scared of MVP was the only evidence.

As much as I love players that are good, if players are too good, like MVP, their games become incredibly boring to watch. Did anyone have fun watching those games?

Even MVP fanboys, I feel like it would be nice to see some sort of a challenge...

I quite enjoyed the finals and yes, i would like to see all 7 matches being played and a really close run for the final victory. But not being that the case i just ejoyed the matches for the quality of the playing there and witnessing what pressure does to the players.

This GSL season had was quite interesting, had a well deserved winner and im sure there will be more chances for the 2nd placed to try his luck once more in the future.

mvp is not that much better than everone else, hes just that much better than every other terran. if you watched him vs nestea in the semi final he got outplayed for long periods in some of those games. hes not the amazing superplayer everyone makes out, he is not sc2's flash by any means.

All the talk about how MVP is the best Terran really got into MKP's head. He expected to lose going in, so he did.

I was upset about missing this over the weeked, but seeing the results now all I can do is laugh. I knew MVP was better but this is sad. Best player won so gratz to GSL (hopefully someone can stop MVP next season tho...).

You know this was a lame finals because of how few pages this thread has. Pretty much every night other than these finals had 100 more pages, lol.

Whether it's because it was TvT, or because it was so lop-sided, something went pretty wrong.

Based on MVP's games in every other series other than the finals, I don't think him wrecking any more GSL's is as easy as some people are making it seem.

GSL could have so many more viewers if they would have some kind of break beetween tournaments.

I mean the world cup wouldnt be the world cup if it was played every month. The thing that makes it special is that the one who wins trully is the best for the next 4 years.

People can only take so much of one thing, breaks are needed, just look at any major sport.

Yeah, I think the next GSL should be in 8-10 years.

I honestly can't understand people crying about too many games.

WTH is your problem? No, we should have gom tournament every 24/7, 365 days in the year for the rest of eternity! Who would watch it? - Possibly only you.

Yeah its getting boring as hell, if the World cup or European cup or the Olympic games were every month they would get boring as well.

I think there should be 1 tournament per year that stretches for longer and lasts about 4 months with a small break in between. Similar to Champions League matches.
And then you have a team league which goes every week from Friday to Sunday for 9 months.

I mean, if you're bored by too many games...don't watch all the games? It's not like anyone is forcing you to watch, so what's the complaint?
