*shrug* Personally I'm going to say that the player who played best in the series won. I like MKP a lot but I'm still too much of a fanboy to ever think he is objectively a better player than Jinro.

Shouldn't tanks in TvT be used simply for defense? If you consider how fast marauders are with stim, how much HP they have, and also how well they DPS against tanks, don't they completely nullify tanks in their role of attack?
It seems like a really poor idea to use tanks for attacking when they just simply can't fill that role, not to mention the fact that doing so greatly diminishes your mobility. Instead, Jinro could have done what MKP was doing (expoing everywhere) by setting up tanks in good locations to defend and used whatever else to harass. Then, when tanks reach critical mass, move out and overwhelm the opponent.
I'm a noob at SC2 and I don't watch too often so can anyone tell me why it seemed like tanks aren't viable for offense in TvT?
They nerfed them a whole lot because they destroy (and really still do) Zerg. But, as MarineKing has shown really well, they're not very strong against Marines.
MarineKing actually played really well. 2 marines at the xel`nagas in game 2 would have put Jinro up 2-0. I believe Day[9] calls it a "pray" maneuver (i.e. praying your opponent doesn't scout it). But it was either that or lose, and it worked.
Game three was also a well executed proxy. Jinro seems to have an early-mid game scouting issue that MarineKing focused on.
Game 4 was just a good build. It was either go into a quick rush or expand if your opponent did. Seemed like an anti-Zerg build, actually. Actually, that looked a whole lot like a solid TvZ build. He exploited the faster Expo but less units that Jinro had. Since MarineKing builds mostly marines, taking the Gold is huge. It's was really, really smart play. He picked it up in Games 3 & 4 there.
And MKP is Maka'ing the mic some in the interview. I always find that enjoyable.

IdrA would commite sucicide if that happend. Do you really want IdrA to suffer that bad?

MKP is great. Varied between tech/mass bio styles and SO calm. With tanks all over the map he was still very aggressive while never sacrificing large chunks of his army to presieged tanks. also, Taking the fast gold after scanning the tech/expand of jinro was very impressive judgment.

It's funny how everyone views MVP as the Dark Sith Lord of SC2.

I Hope MKP doesnt change his name, it's so good and has a nice acronym =)

Lot of bitterness in other sports as well, when someone beats your "team" you feel hostile toward the opposing "team". It's human nature, don't read so much into it guys. It hurts to have your player go out and excuses are made (in this case, bashing MKP's playstyle).
