I'm thinking Idra takes this 3-1 with some overwhelming macro

Set 1: (Z)IdrA < Xel'Naga Caverns > (T)Jinro close, I think they will both max out however, Jinro's army will be too strong and the map isn't large enough for Idra to re-max before Jinro does too much damage
Set 2: (Z)IdrA < Metalopolis > (T)Jinro depends on positions
Set 3: (Z)IdrA < Shakuras Plateau > (T)Jinro Idra's macro is too good
Set 4: (Z)IdrA < Jungle Basin > (T)Jinro repeat of Ro32
Set 5: (Z)IdrA < Lost Temple > (T)Jinro Dependent on positions but the map doesn't have much room in the back of the base for mutas and consequently Jinro should be able to zone them out like he did on Jungle in Ro32.
As an admitted Jinro fanboy I think he'll take it 3:2. Sadly this means an all terran Bo4.

Set 1: (T)MarineKing < Shakuras Plateau > (T)NaDa
Set 2: (T)MarineKing < Lost Temple > (T)NaDa
Set 3: (T)MarineKing < Xel'Naga Caverns > (T)NaDa
Set 4: (T)MarineKing < Steppes of War > (T)NaDa
Set 5: (T)MarineKing < Metalopolis > (T)NaDa

Nada's macro is too impeccable and Foxer is most famous for his TvZ not TvT. Still positions play a big role as Foxer's early and mid game is extremely strong. Foxer could pull off a win with close positions on Lost Temple and then I'd give him the advantage on Steppes in which case Metal would be toss up in close positions. Therefore this series could easily go 3-2 in favor of either Terran but expect 3-0 in favor of Nada.

If only we were guaranteed all terrans in the Ro4 we would have a Terran champ. Sadly, weve got almighty Nestea!
We got them GOM TvT's and them mlGG's

My bad I forgot Nestea. I hope he makes it to the finals but IMMVP is just so good.

I bet Jinro loses on the T maps and Idra loses on the Z maps, but I also think IdrA will take the series. So IdrA wins XC, Metal close spots, Jinro takes Shakuras for sure, especially if they aren't cross positions, Jungle Basin IdrA wins in a macro game, Lost Temple IdrA takes the series. My prediction.

I think Jinro will win solely based on the fact that he has ret to practice with (who knows Idra very well), and Idra has no one to practice with.

Hey anyone got a quick link to the picture of Jinro consoling MC pre-doctoring? My search-fu is weak right now. Thanks!

Yeah, even though Ret and Idra are friends, Ret will be obligated to help Jinro crush him because they're teammates.

I really want Idra to win though.

How many times have the final rounds been full of Terrence yet a Terrence has yet to win a gsl. Also Jinro should just go mech to beat Idra

The winner is either a repeat champion, the Gracken, or a race that hasn't won it before. Hell I don't care who wins, we can't really lose in this situation.

IdrA, Jinro, MKP, and NaDa all in one night, should be awesome. And one of those four will be making the finals too, also sweet.

Anyone who says idra wins 3-1 better go wake up. To win 3-1 idra would have to beat jinro on jungle basin. If idra is going to win then he will win either 3-0 or 3-2. But if jinro wins 1 or 2 of the fist 3 games idra would have very little chance.

Yes I know Jungle basin is where idra would have to win for it to be 3-1. My point still stands Idra wins 3-1.

If Jinro can establish an early lead through harassment and slowly build on that lead during a 30 minute game he can win. If not I feel Idra will slowly whittle him down.

Wishing for an amazing series between Idra and Jinro, rooting for Jinro! Will still be happy if Idra wins. So hyped for that series that I forgot Nada was playing tonight too!

I honestly don't care even if they all in cheese every game, someone sweeps it 3-0, I fail my midterm tomorrow, ...

This. Is. Going. To. Be. Fucking. EPIC.

I honestly cannot pick a favourite, I would be so happy to see either advance.

Btw does anyone know what maps IdrA and Jinro banned? Do they get to change their bans each round or they have to declare the map and stick to it throughout the tournament?

They can change it each round. You'll be able to see the maps they banned when the games are about to start, but I'm pretty sure Steppes and maybe Scrap were banned.
