Lol @ people blaming Jinro.
If there is close positions on metalopolis, of course you as a terran take the advantage and put early pressure on. Idra even had an early speedling build but just raged out, probably because he foresaw himself losing on those close positions.
Would you say "omg wtf, cross-map positions, zerg macro op, gg." if idra would use the spawn positions to HIS favor instead?
What Jinro did was great, but also very standard.

LOL @ all the Idra fanboys raging over Jinro winning by bunker rush. Your tears are delicious <3 If Idra just put one drone or a ling to patrol the bottom of the ramp he wouldn't have lost in such a chobo manner. Suck it up.

Jinro's expression pretty much seemed like he was just as surprised as many viewers that Idra GG'd out so quickly. >.<
|
lol I love how people are already comparing jinro to bbb... Guys he spawned close positions to a zerg on metal... Hes down 0-1 in a best of 5. Perfect way to come back in that situation.

idra early gg again, sigh.

We crucify BitbyBit for cheesing in the GSL, but when Jinro does it, it's beautiful? It's garbage. Maybe we make fun of BBB because he just cheeses every game nomatter the situation, while Jinro knows when and where to use it to full effect.
Like MarinekingPrime has said, whether or not you cheese in those positions its 90% a terran win if the opponents are even close to well matched. Close positions on Metal and LT as well as Steppes are just awful.

haha, Artosis was so right.
Now all the nerds go "whyyyyy did he leave *argue argue argue*" when said probably Idra knows so much better ;P

It's not hard to see why Idra quit like that. He's bunkered in, and he's not going to break that bunker any time soon. He needs at least spines / roaches for that type of wall in. Furthermore, Jinro can simply expand behind that. Before you know it, when idra breaks out of the bunker, jinro is on 2 OC's, a shitload of mules and marauders/marines/whatever he likes to deal with the oncoming (and anticipated rush/counter attack/all-in).
Idra's played innumerable amount of games on ladder against terrans of all types, and he most definitely has versed this kind of strategy often enough. Stop whining about why he left and take some time to think.
|
Making 2 bunkers at the bottom of your opponent's ramp is neither cheese or allin. Worst case scenario you just cancel your bunkers and lose some minerals. That was an intelligent response and idrA made the mistake of not blocking off the bottom of his ramp or having any contingency plan for when it happens.

so that you can't wall off with 2 2x2 buildings.

someone .gif the 2nd game :D

cheese is ok in a bo5. if he cheesed every game i would have a problem with that, but throwing in a cheese is completely nessecary in a bo5 against any top player. I have no problem with that.

exactly, it wasnt an all in bunker rush, its like saying pylon blocking the zerg FE is cheesy all in. He saw an oppurtinity to get an advantage, he took it, knowing that if it didnt work out he would still be at least even with zerg. It worked out even better, in fact im 100% sure that Jinro did that bunker trick to set up a really fast expo with bunkers and siege tanks and just starve IdrA out.

ugk come on... still cannot start the game on gomtv player....

Fruitdealer has done it, and so have Idra. Still, Idra is the progamer, he knows better than me( should have gone for one base all-in IMHO).

I bet if that was close air/cross positions he probably wouldn't have left. Was hopeless close positions game was lost as soon as it started those 2 bunkers just secured the win.

Hell yeah Jinro you got this!! Keep bringing the pain!
|
Jinro just did the right thing... He did a normal build, when he saw the opportunity to bunker the ramp he went for it. He would probably had bunkerede behind mineral line if idra FEd

Actually I've been defending bitbybit all along as well. Not that anyone cares what I think... but what can I say. I like that stuff like this is part of the game. My favourite is July's last OSL finals versus best.
