compLexity Gaming is proud to announce its newest initiative in the StarCraft 2 community, The V! The best test of skill in SC2 is of course the 1 v 1, and we're going to showcase it every week with a best of 7 series between two invited players. The winner will receive $100, and the loser will just have to hang his head in shame as he types "gg." Whoever wins The V will be expected to play the very next week at the same time, Friday at 7 p.m. EST!
Cast by AskJoshy and potentially a compLexity Staff or Player co-caster. Stream can be seen on the front page of compLexityGaming.com (exact location on Ustream is pending for chat!)
Format: Best of 7 series, first map will be played on Metalopolis. Loser of each map will choose the next map from the Battle.net 1v1 ladder map pool. There will be no map vetoes. Maps may not be repeated. In the event of a disconnect, the game replay will be reviewed by a player panel to determine if a re-game is necessary. If one player disconnects three times in a single night, he will forfeit the series and the non-disconnecting player will be asked back to the next V.
Prizes: The winner of the best of 7 series will receive $100 via Paypal and be invited to play again the following week. The loser will receive nothing. Stream viewers will have a chance to win a brand new Sound Blaster Tactic headset, so keep watching every week! (DETAILS FOR HEADSET GIVEAWAY! http://www.complexitygaming.com/index.php?c=news&id=2346)
We're very excited to launch this weekly event and plan on doing it all year. We also are working on a much bigger tourney for the community with a large prize pot.

We hope you tune in!
Oh awesome hope its not an invite only tournament
The big one we're working on will have a huge open tourney included.
it would be nice to see complexity eventually make their own version of the "masters cup" seeing complexity has always been a big e-sports team in the us. Definitely will check this out ^

We're working on a pretty big event with a really solid prize
This sounds like a lot of fun and nice to see the involvement from someone in sc2 who was a great impact on the cs1.6 community. This is gonna be really great to follow
This event is coming up soon! I added a poll to the original post, so go vote for your favorite, and make a post on what you think the series score will be. =D
I haven't seen too much of Tyler lately. I don' t know if thats because hes been playing less, or releasing less? Or maybe I'm too in love with Parov Stelar to watch anything but Drewbies stream....?
I wonder how much (if any) practice time Jinro has been able to give Tyler? I feel Drewbie will be able to apply the right amount of pressure. I'm very biased, mind you.
much that I love drewbie, Tyler will probably blast him. so smart and good at preparing precise builds (ex the showmatch between him and IdrA a while back).

The winner of each week will move on to the next to face a new challenger. As long as the player keeps winning, they will remain the champion from week to week.
Tyler is going to own the soul out of drewbie. I have seen both of their streams and their mechanics aren't even comparable. Tylers PvT also seems solid so i would be shocked so see him lose.
really excited for this! Next week it should be IdrA if you can get him on! i know he doesnt like to play with latency but that would be epiccccccc. as long as its not a mirror match up i will be tuning in!

ya i try to do that and then i lose everything! lol
Nicely run first event - look forward to seeing future weeks!
Congratulations to Tyler - really good, safe play throughout. I really feel Tyler's strengths lie in his nearly-unique ability to understand just what forces you need out at X time, which he implements through almost godlike use of the chrono boost - and of course great macro basics.
Thanks so much to everyone who tuned it. This was my first live event, and I think it went pretty smoothly. Unfortunately I do still have some work to do on the stream quality, but that'll come with enough tweaking. Look forward to seeing all of you next week and don't forget to check your YouTube account and http://www.complexitygaming.com to see if you won the Sound Blaster Tactic headset!
