I know in a macro game against a good player both would struggle and be out of their comfort zones. I just like the idea of a complete player and always root for them as I feel they play the game beautifully. I do respect Marineking, but I'd rather see him lose because the all inning is just wearing me out and too predictable. BBB though....that guy is something else, hard to respect someone who only does ONE THING and barely does it well.

All-in'ing? Are you even watching his matches? He does not do that much all-in, he attacks while he expands and uses his vastly superior micro to be super aggressive with his early units. Just because he attacks more than other people behind his teching/expansions doesn't make him all in. For once when you're watching him play, take off your rose-tinted glasses of bias and actually watch ok? Jesus people will hate on a player just to do it and never even bother to look into what they're hating. Shows nothing but ignorance to everyone else.

either you're watching the wrong tournament or you only watched BBB play for the past 1 and a half months.
Cliiiiide and MKP are both strong Ts. You win some, you lose some. MKP got outplayed by Clide that game (which is the game that mattered).
Clide had the upgrades and had a right mind to get a small group of marauders to soak marine fire.
Everyone can say MKP > Clide but clearly in the game that mattered, it was the other way around. This of course is subject to change in the future cos again...you win some, you lose some. Stop being a fanboy or hater to either players...they're both equally good. definitely worthy of moving on to ro16.

maybe thats because the players in that tournament never went to korea to qualify? i dont think a single one of them did.

i think clide is much better than MKP not to be biased :X but i think his just being unlucky recently....
|
In MKP vs clide game, MKP's attack timings were very good. Even though he lost the first two battles. he got a huge lead: lose the battle, win the war! Because:
1.In the first small battle, he didn't win(nor lose). But he forced Clide to reduce his scv production. The army size was identical and the scv count is 38: 31 with MKP in the lead.
2. In the second big battle, it looks like MKP lost the majority of his army. However, that's because Clide suicided about 20 scvs to help winning the battle. Right after the battle, the scv count was 57:28 (we all know that 28 x 2 = 56 < 57 ! ). MKP had a huge huge advantage. He just need to sit back, put a few bunkers, produce marines as quickly as possible and defense. There is no way he will lose. But, sadly, he made such a huge mistake that, instead of staying in his base, he scarified most of his army(before he has enough units) in the middle of the map...
I can see that MKP's micro and macro are both better than Clide. Just a unfortunate stupid mistake costed him the game.

Sick how people are traumatised by the GSL2 finals where MKP allined non stop. Since that, he's one of the biggest macro terran wich is impressive as he has the best micro in the world too. He one rax expand 90% of his games, always takes a fast third, I mean, what does he has to do so the haters stop saying he's an allin player ? Being a little biased is funny (as long as you know that you're biased), but being so biased that you adapt the reallity to your hate is not good for you.

Anyone have the full translated interview of Clide?

maybe thats because the players in that tournament never went to korea to qualify? i dont think a single one of them did.
One could make the arguement that they play against some of the players who have gone to korea to compete(huk, ret, etc etc...) and did not pose much of a challenge to them. Therefor you can assume they would not be able to compete with the korean gamers. Nothing against the foreigners though! <3
But if you're going to be bashing the place where the highest level of play comes from, then you better have a better arguement (to the people claiming this in general not singling you out)

KiwiKaki failed to qualify for GSL3.
Also, do people not realize what Clide did was an "all-in"? No one gave him any flak for it, yet when MKP plays macro, he gets accused of "all-inning". Though Clide was in a situation where he had to all-in in order to get something done or lose in a one-sided macro game. He sac'd his economy while MKP was continuing to econ up. MKP plays more high econ/high aggression games than cheesy and/or all-in games. Wish the definition of "all-in" and "cheesy" could be more quantifiable, so people would be banned for misusing those terms.

So funny watching Tastosis bigging up Ret (one of the best in the world...) only for him to get owned in a horrible manner.
Entertaining and highly skilled are not the same thing. Idra is one of the few highly skilled foreigned yet most people complain about his boring style because he wins a lot with it. Then people like Huk, Kiwikaki and TLO get praised for crushing nubs with creative play but rarely in high lvl tournament settings will they cut the mustard.

It's not all-in until you bring your workers with you! that's what all-in is, that's all it ever was and always will be.
BBB is all in majority of his games. MKP was a one off in the hopes of winning GSL2 and he paid his price for that and lost the championship. Move on from that one mistake. The player himself has, iono why half the people in these threads haven't =\
