Did you miss that MK has outperformed Clide just about everywhere? Dropping a bo1 is hardly indicative of any superiority lol.
MVP is probably better than both anyway.

exactly, just goes to show you how retarded some of the rabid Marineking haters are.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Marineking, I can see that he is trying really hard to get rid of reputation of an all-iner and I admire that. Too bad people still remember his games from season 2.
|
Marineking has always been the king of all-inners. The big differences imo between him and the mass of imitations are that he's micro is actually awesome and that he's been trying to deepen his game.

The fact that he's expanding and getting upgrades, and can fail attacks without vein out of the game, is basically the definition of not being allin. He just likes marines.

Thing is however far you go in a tournament, people will judge you based on that standard. MarineKing is a pretty good player and entertaining at times, but he's not really finalist or semi-finalist level, and hence some people dislike him under those standards.

Do the groups for Code A and Code S correspond for the promotion/relegation matches and Code A tournament?

seriously, if you think deeper, mkp is clearly better than clide.
most of those artosis-made hypes will fail eventually. commentators like tastosis tend to be biased. although its totally fine, viewers should have their own opinions. watch the games , not the casters(even though they are an important part of the event).
i remember in gsl 1 artosis said idra is the best(top 3) zerg in the world. but its not true. idra is very good, but not the best(yet). a top player should not lose 5 times in a roll (even on ladder) to players like LegalMind.
in bllizcoon he said that fruitdealer '' is really the king of sc2". then fruitdealer lost in r32 right after that.
he claimed that mvp might be the champion of gsl2 & 3. then mvp stopped in r64 & r32.
in gsl3 he said july would go to the finals. but july lost in r16.
the only prediction he made correctly is about mc becomng the champ of gsl3. however, his earlier predictions about mc doing well in gsl1 &2 failed hard when mc lost in r64 & r32.
i really like artosis' commentating, but i don't agree with many of his exaggerated/irrational love and hate.

It seems like all 13 people on TL who voted No on 5th set decided to post their opinions, probably people who were watching BW and just wanted to troll here in between commercial break. That was one hell of a tense/exciting game, even if it was a 1-base vs 1-base.

the games were not very good but the entertainment value from artosis and tasteless was off the charts last night. GuineaPig match, artosis hating on bitbybit, Tasteless narrating the players actions ( GULP GULP GULP GULP ROFL), it was the best I couldnt stop laughing. Last game was so tense and micro intensive, I was pretty amazed MKP was able to hold that with one bunker and warp ins from the low ground. Crazy stuff, MKP is the best terran in the GSL period.
These trolls are still living in a cave because MKP has expanded his play quite a lot since GSL 2. Like seriously what are these people watching? Even oGsMC said MKP is excellent at making different builds. Haters love to generalize a player based on a few games.
All-in? What? This guy fast expands in almost all his games nowadays except maybe on SoW which is understandable.

I thought MK's play in the last match was fantastic - he could have easily gg'd but his composure under pressure was exceptional. Also the variation in build dependent on the map was nice touch as well. And it was great to see Clide doing well for a change.
Can't wait for tonight! Jinro!

Yeah well that is the thought process of most people right now. If you look at recommended games as long as the game goes longer than like 15 minutes it is always highly recommended, and if it is under 10 it was the worst game ever played. That 5th game was an entertaining 10 minutes.
I actually find some of the short intense games very fun to watch when both players are trading punches. It sucks when one player decides to macro and the other rush, that is when it sucks because one is sitting there with no way to defend and the other is screwed if it doesn't work. Nobody wants to see that crap. But I got no problem watching 2 guys come out swinging on steps... fun stuff.

Did cheeseboy king get beat at his own game by a superior player? Him and BBB are the only terrans I actually want to see lose.
|
BBBP is the perfect example to show that terran is the easiest race. Seriously marine scv all in 1a click = round of 16? please...
Marineking on the other hand shows depth in his play. I don't hate his all ins because he actually micros them, not 1a move. However I still think MVP is the terran to beat. Maybe SlayersBoxer, been very impressed with his games as of late.
|
Only 12 hours until Jinro vs IdrA... I'm so anxious. I can't stay up late enough to watch it, but I'm waking up early to hit the VODs before class.
If both IdrA and Jinro qualify I'll be ecstatic.

MarineKing will shut a lot of mouths this season . People who say he just all in until recently arent watching the games , in season 2 he played a series against kirixzenith that he showed micro and macro at incredible speed. He just likes marines , like every terran ,ok maybe a bit more..

You cant compare BBB and MK. He and MVP are the best Terran players in the world. Clide is far away from their level.
MKPs archievements:
GSL2 Finals (3:4 against Nestea who was unbeaten until then; 2:0 FD; 2:0 Sangho; 4:1 Rainbow?) GStar Allstars tournament Finals (lost against Kyrix after beating Tester and Zenio) GSL3 Ro8 (lost only against oGsMC) Gisado Koth TvP, (allkilled the best Protossplayers (without MC)) Gisado Team (2:0 Inca, 2:0 TOP, 1:2 MC) Gainward Tournament 3rd place behind MVP and Nestea (lost only 3:1 against MVP)
He is easily the most accomplished Terranplayer so far. Right now, I think only MVP and MC can really beat him in a Bo5.

Funny. I never claimed to hate MKP. I was merely talking about his fanboys. Perhaps you should read more carefully instead of digging your own hole even deeper.

Watching the vods right now, Tastosis were really on their game last night... Hilarious!
