That makes no sense at all tbh. With that format, a team that goes 0-4, 0-4, 4-3 and 4-2 (13 losses) will have a better record than a team that goes 3-4, 3-4, 4-3 and 4-3 (14 losses) even though the overall record of team 1 is 8-13 and that of team 2 14-14. Wins minus losses would be a much fairer way of deciding the tiebreaker. It does make sense. Basically the same system applies in every tournament, results of complete matches count before results of individual sets.
Exactly, if you look at the game as completed series it may not make as much sense but with a tournament like this, I need to make sure that games that even if players have incomplete games, that the results are fair.
In the grand scheme of things though, the Tie breakers wont matter as of right now it looks like we will have a 4-0 team and a 3-1 team. I'll be making an announcement video shortly.

Congratulations to EG for doing very well in this so far, rooting for you~~

So far:
EG: 3-0 Root: 2-0 Teamliquid: 2-2 Mouz: 1-3 Prime: 0-3
Meaning it is already guaranteed that EG + Root is guaranteed first and second place. The game between Prime and and Root will have no outcome on the results, Prime is last, and Root can still take first place with that game.
EG vs Root however will decide a winner of this tournament, So let's hope for some epic Drewbie vs Machine and Idra vs Kiwikaki matches! I'm excited to see who will win this. I really like these clan leagues going on ^^

Awesome tourny so far (lol at prime being last). Any chances that more teams will join in next time, like fnatic or dignitas, perhaps?

So the finals for this are practically over but no updates at all. This was a cool tournament idea that really needed more advertising.

IdrA lost like 10 lings early on by leaving them at the Xel'naga tower by mistake and still managed to hold somehow....

crota needs to do more analysis and less play by play.

What's with the personal attacks against Crota who's a member of TL? Instead of insulting someone, perhaps you can offer constructive criticism.

Crota use to play a lot of SC2 and cast at the same time. However, his wife gave him an ultimatum to choose one. He chose casting, though I'm sure he stills plays sc2, but not as much as before.
If you don't like his casting style, you can always put it on mute .

Crota is very good commentator! I really enjoy watching his VODs even more than HDStarcraft's vods. I don't understand crititcsm against his style ._.

Me neither. I love Crota's style, but I guess everyone has their preferences. I always make sure to watch Husky, HD, and Crota's casts.

This tourney was a cool idea since it had teams from different continents playing each other, but I dislike the fact that a bunch of the series were decided by 2v2s. (lots of 4-3s) 2v2s are known to be more gimmicky and aside from Axslav and Strifecro or Drewbie and Cats, none of the other players practice 2v2s.

As far as I know we can still qualify if Root loses the next two matches and ends up having a worse overall score.

desrow you are a prick! crota does a good job and if you don't like it, don't watch it! and btw you know he's writing here, so you should manner up and don't be such a spoiled little brat..

EG's just got the perfect lineup for this sort of thing. Two 2v2 teams that are nearly unstoppable and a top 20 player in the world to run their Ace match. They just need 1-2 wins out of their 4 1v1's which doesn't seem to be an issue when Axslav plays such a sick Protoss on Lost Temple, along with the other sets. Glad to see them do so well here.
