Most of the people who want to complain about a strategy don't even understand how the game works. 4gate is sort of similar to the Brood War 6gate after expo speedlot rush. This was popular against Zerg on Bluestorm where you'd hit before Mutalisks and slightly before Lurkers if you timed it right, and the Zerg HAD to make so many zerglings and sunkens. Not enough and he dies, too many and the Protoss was economically ahead. It is a very difficult build to adjust to but people did it. If you don't know it is coming, it is too late and you lose. And if the Protoss isn't able to do enough damage, your tech (Mutalisks/Lurkers) can push to the Protoss and rape him alive. Eventually this strategy died down because Zerg players just adjusted too well imo, but the map pool had to do with it too. | ||
