Truly great games are close encounters with constant back and forth action and not knowing who's going to win. This was just BoxeR getting very far ahead and figuring out how to finish hyperdub off since he let him get to 200/200. If you want to see great games, check out Naama vs Mana Dreamhack finals on xel naga caverns or Clide vs Leenock in GSL3 on shakuras. You are right but that is not the only definition of a great game.. BoxeR going a completely ballsy move in a MU that has long been thought of as a Tank/Viking stalement is worthy of a notable mention.. it was great to see this completely out there build work out; yes he was already ahead but people have been ahead in many different games without responding the way boxer did.. it was a great game because of that.. There was nothing 'ballsy' about it. He knew how far ahead he was and had the extra minerals to drop the CCs. It's not like he revolutionised the matchup or anything. It's just a combination of getting far ahead and not being able to spend your minerals. It's also funny how you're talking like he broke out of the tank/viking trend. What did he win the game with? Vikings. What did he mass up in the early/mid game? Tanks. Please don't let your admiration for the guy blind you. Mule Dropping the tank line to get AoE damage, while scanning it for sight? I personally haven't seen that in a high level 1v1 before. I saw that back in beta, some Meta game with Strelok I think it was. It's not unheard of, just not common.

Looks like korean players are starting to abuse T eco imbaness.

Seems like someone needs to tell the Code S players that Terran can't play into the late game, eh? Glad to see the game improving, Code S may be the best thing to happen to SC.
|
Oh, Terran macro, never seen it before..

The guys with my fanart are in fact brothers of Kim who drew it. I am honored to have them here today.
As for people asking to hire a new observer it reminds me of the time when tons of people used to post at gomtv forum insisting on hiring a new translater. He reads TL everyday and was quite upset. He has been subobserver for previous season and was was really nervous after hearing he will observe for global stream. Bashing him will only make his nerves worse

Dudes, this is a gsl thread, please come back to topic to the awsome games, if you want to hate on the obsi or hate on the Tastosis, why don't you open a new thread that will be closed in a sec. by the mods?

I love watching games on Shakuras.
Games today have been good so far, GSL4 is turning out to be less cheesy and much better than the previous season.

He was ahead enough to build 5 CC's at once.. which is 2000 minerals at once.. and immediately upgrade all 5 to OCs .. but yeah he wasn't that far ahead.. lol Tbf, when you're going mech heavy as terran you'll have a fairly large surplus of minerals.
2,750 surplus minerals?
Yeah that came out wrong; what i meant was it's a tank/viking stalemate until someone messes up; with supplies being largely even the whole time, waiting for a mistake.. TvT has long been thought of as a matchup where you wait for a siege tank screw up; i have seen people pull ahead in a game and not drop 5 CC's .. He introduced the concept of mass mules into the pro scene thereby legitimising it as a strat --> which means we will see more of it guaranteed.
Did you expect him to go mass mules? Cause i sure as hell didn't.. That in itself, willing to do something completely different, makes it epic..

Junkka, haters are haters. They just like to hate things. The observer is doing a GREAT job, and we're really happy that he's willing to do it.

You can scan+mule drop in campaign as well to get any research, it's a really useful mechanic

HongUn found out about the 3rd, Tasteless missed it. xD

Yes, because they are playing on shakuras which gives best games from ladder pool.

Aye more experience with catching things, when the commentator has to scream: "Show top right!" ?! I think it is plain and simple stupid to do it this way.

Thanks GOM, today is the first day ive actually been able to watch the GOM stream. The horrible lag has been fixed.
Now im going to buy a ticket

He's willing? ahaha good joke.
There are thousands of people who would be willing to do the observing for the GSL.
That's a privilege, not a fuckin burden on the observer.

We need mods to warn/ban all those haters! just for the new obs and for John I think he's still good as he shows normally whatever tastosis is talking about. Sure there might be some mistakes but there aren't any crucial mistakes just minor ones that can be overcome by giving more time.

Watch BratOKs stream or the EPS in Germany. In Fact this little strategy is well known since beta

Tell him, that it is just the troll-squad that has left the barracks!
I think he does an awsome job, he will become better and smoother, maybe he should find a way to communicate discret with the commentators, so that we as viewers don't even notice if they have problems to understand each other.
