What is everyone talking about, Losira had a huge advantage (~30food ahead) until he misdetonated ~15-20 banelings. That's game-deciding, it wasn't that his harass was ineffective or MVP's unit comp was unbeatable =/

No amount of counter attacking in the world is going to help you if the opponent can kill your base faster than you can kill his.

His counter-attacking was winning him the game, he misdetonated 1000/500 worth of units and wasn't far enough ahead for that to not matter. The game wasn't decided but to keep saying that his play style wasn't working is absurd.

Blistering was interesting, kinda wish he had tried to take a different third as the push to the nat put him too far behind to have a chance. Really interesting to see backstabbing like that all the time though, will look forward to seeing Losira in the future.

Had the Terran decided, blow it and base traded, Losira wouldn't have a chance in hell of winning. That supply lead you're talking about doesn't account for army strength. IMMvp had an iron grip on that game whether the harass was working or not. Losira couln't stop that push even if he wanted to.

That's utter nonsense, the only way MVP could push was through a tank crawl on creep, meaning he would have to play incredibly carefully and slowly, probably giving Losira more than enough time to put MVP in a position where he couldn't replenish his army while his grew big enough to crush the push. Tank/marine pushes are potent but not THAT potent, a 'base trade' situation would have greatly favoured Losira and it's what his whole playstyle invites =/ Even the original pure marine push at the start of the game on Xelnaga didn't do any damage at all, which was far speedier and with far less creep spread. Losira also didn't have the advantage when he crushed the original push. Tanks are good but they aren't that good.

Good point, however I think Mvp would have still won. His marine splitting and his confidence in it would mean he's not too worried of a Zerg attacking his army when half of it is at his nat. So I think he'd advance quicker than you think.

Pushing too quick would still lose him the game, once you have that many marines even with perfect splitting banelings are going to be cost-effective, and with Losira having an advantage MVP couldn't afford an equal trade. Losira just threw it away by mistake, it happens, trying to learn anything else from that game is silly.

Banelings take a bit of time to morph leaving MVP time to get set up at the nat, banelings aren't going to do much. ANyway, I'm off to bed, I'm just going to have to agree to disagree.

TSL_Pooh was the Protoss who just played? He played pretty damn well except that he should have built cannons in his main to defend those drops from MVP.
This post is clearly not a hurr, as you can see from the graph, the durr never intersects with the derp.

Awesome game.
Mvp again massed up on two bases and instead of pushing expanded. But toss was on top of things and matched Mvp in bases, battles and multitasking, dealing with Mvps drops and army movement around the map. Finally wore Mvp down as he denied Mvps gold multiple times and Mvp mined out his third.

What, if you're referring to me that's not what I'm saying at all. Mvp is great and I think deserves a lot more credit than FoxeR does. I think Mvp is about to usher in another meta game shift in TvZ, and in my opinion this composition is insanely hard to stop in the hands of someone whose not dumb. Idk, if I came off as Mvp is terrible and Terran is imba then no, that's not what I meant.

MK(a top player) > MVP(a good player).

you would need so many cannons :S protoss has warpin that should do it along with some mobile defense.

Against foxer there were some closer games and the second (or first) game against Rain on lost temple was pretty epic and definitely no rolling over.

Yes I've met you in another thread before. I get it your a MKP fan, but it's my opinion and in my opinion I think of MVP as a better player than FoxeR. If that upsets you I don't care. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
