Why do you think MVP being #1 on the ladder is the only premise for why Koreans think he's good? Perhaps he's won a bunch of smaller tournaments over there lately, I don't know.

That wasn't really what I said, though. Anyway let's not forget that MKP for example has gone Ro2, Ro2 and Ro8 in the last three major events. It's all well and good if MVP has won a lot of minor events but in the end "most Koreans" aren't going to be watching or paying quite as much attention to those. In the absence of any really notable wins it seems a lot more convenient to just point out the ridiculous number of points he has. It certainly happens often around here.

Yeah, I'm sure you could find some quotes by some other GSL qualifiers or whatever saying that they think MVP is the best. But I thought we were talking about Koreans, not THE KOREANS. Commentators and stuff don't really make up the bulk of the community.

What, if you're referring to me that's not what I'm saying at all. Mvp is great and I think deserves a lot more credit than FoxeR does. Whenever I look at both players, I think they are both very good and top players. But I am more impressed by MVP so far.

Against foxer there were some closer games and the second (or first) game against Rain on lost temple was pretty epic and definitely no rolling over.


The game on Lost Temple was definately good. But it also shows that Rain was just the far weaker player because he lost that game after MC went for 4 Gate all tech trees on one base.

That's exactly my opinion. I saw him rise again in the last few months before SC2 came out and he now shows that he was a very good bw player just before he switched (not like Boxer and Nada; their time was over). Im really really happy to see him rock on in SC2.

Foxer's macro is good.

People just complain about his lack of diversity in his TvZ. I think it's partially him "playing for the fans" than anything else. He promised he'd win Season 2 "using marines" and named himself "MarineKingPrime". It's kind of hard for him to branch out away from marine-heavy play.

MK and MVP both are monsters, it's hard to tell who is best. I'd say MK has a better vP, and MVP a better vZ (more solid at least). Both are just exceptionnal players.

MvP is his teammate. He beat MKP in GSL S2 Finals. Maybe they became friends after that. And then MKP somehow drags his clan into this ? :D

mc's team is fairly solid on paper too, but we'll have to see what happens between those two teams. mc is capable of destroying nestea's entire lineup and i think leenock is one of the only zergs that could actually give mvp a hard time. and then jinro, top, inca are all insanely strong players in their own right
