Had to leave as I lost but the tourny was great. Run by some fun guys. Been to a lot of lans and it was fun even if it was hypercrew's first. Got to ro8, I was vicious. Thought I might get further after playing group stages but lost to a good player anyway haha. thanks! This lan made my trip to magfest with friends much more bearable!

Why did you have 5 groups of 4, then have 3 people move on per group to have 15 finalists, but then how do you add a 16th person i'm so confused.

Why didn't you do 4 groups of 5 people and have 2/4 move on so you have 8 or 16 finalists, probably 8 finalists.

We didn't do 4 groups of 5 mostly because of time constraints. We started a few hours later than LuckyFool usually does at his tournaments, so we wanted to make sure we could finish the event in a timely manner.

We ended up just seeding the players that made it into single elimination based on their round robin scores and just gave one of the top seeds a first round bye in the brackets. Looking back though, your approach probably would have worked a little bit better.
