relax people, seriously We are so hard on him for the same reason we were flamming BitByBit.Prime so hard, he takes out really good Protoss or Zerg players with coin-flip builds, such as 2 proxy barracks at nat on Jungle Basin v Genius.
Im more pissed about him taking out nestea with 3 scvs/marine allins... MC vs Nstea would have be way more epic finals.

These are the same people who praise Jinro who couldn`t even win a game off MC. I am not bashing Jinro(because he is damn good) but I am trying to point out the hypocrites.

Nestea/Zerg fanboys.
But seriously, after those first 2 games, it is difficult to not be hard on Rain. He has just made so many mistakes.

Seriously ... GomTV should provide a playlist with all those kpop songs they're playing (and the other songs as well .. they really have a lot of great music).

relax people, seriously He cheesed his way to the finals, and it's showing that the guy is incapable of lasting without doing sneaky tactics. Seriously, stop this flame-baiting. Its getting lame! The only place where SC2 lags behind BW for me in terms of spectating is the LR threads...

And stop calling everything cheese when its just a brilliant tech choice to counter your opponents build The tech choice was good, but the usage of the banshees was bad imo. Killing off all the sentries (a LOT of gas wasted right there) helped him with his push later on. I think it was quite smartly played

Why does everyone know the names of the K-pop songs?
They're so bad. :S

Thats not exactly hard. With the exception of the Metal game HongUn has almost never displayed particularly amazing long-game ability.

Doubt anyone disagrees with that, I dislike rain but the techswitch at the start was clever. However his followup was not, throwing away his army, going straight into the main instead of taking out the expo/probes etc.
Rain doesn't seem to understand to go for the small advantages, like hindering the opponents eco, he always attempts to go for the thing that will instantly win him the game. And that in turn almost lost him the game, very sloppy execution as a followup of a good opening.

That game really shows show much MC outclasses Rain. That was a lot closer and longer game than it should have been once those cloaked banshees showed up and there wasn't even a robo finished.
|
Actually I feel Rain can play a normal game as seen in both game 2 and 3. In fact I feel he could have killed MC's natural expo in game 2 if that PDD was placed right.

champi champi champi champinas .... what song is this?

....I'm tired of these rain haters. Can you guys just enjoy the finals? These are entertaining games. Have some fun, take it easy! In the end, the better player will win. Who will it be? Well that's why were watching!

He was ahead the ENTIRE game, and was pressing until MC made a last ditch push, lost, and GG'd. I swear, some of you must be watching a different game.

rain played a damn good mindgame in set3, I thought this woulda been a 4-0. Props to him, it seems he is capable of more than scv allins

I'm the 'idiot' who said he's a noob.
And he is.
1. Excellent tech choice UM but he didn't know what MC had. So that was flip of the coin. If MC was on a robo build, it wouldn't have worked, and Rain didn't know either way.
2.Excellent usage of the banshees In that first main push with all his army units, the banshees were front and centre... ready for stalkers to take them down. The most expensive units, and Rain just let them die. (OH - and he A-moved that attack.. you could tell from the marauders and rines on the side attacking the geyser structure).
3. Excellent play by Rain. Rain almost lost a game he had to definetely win from the blind build orders of both players. He ALMOST lost.
Rain is a noob.
