Yea i just realized that about the entry fees. In the case that they dont allow it. We will not even try to sneak around it. We will do everything in our power to provide free food in the case that we cannot charge entry fees. If in the end we cannot afford this, then we might sell food or beg for donations.
Yeah I don't see the problem with selling food or just saying "hey, we're going to order pizza, everyone pitch in if you want some." Or even go buy one of those ticket things they use for raffles and sell those for "meals," etc.

thanks everyone for the suggestions on the food and spectator fee problem. We will consider every option avaliable and make sure that we pick the one that is cheapest for everyone but one that still makes the tournament viable.

At the begining of lunchtime we will be having a game on stage, in competition for some kind of prize. You must register for this IN PAIRS, that means you and a partner. I will draw lots on the day of the tournament to see who will be able to play in this game (three teams will be selected to play in this game). Please notice that this is going to be ON STAGE, so dont register if ur going to be embarrased about anything =P. Registration for this will be open all the way through lunch time. Knowledge about StarCraft II is required for you to do well in this game (will take about 15 minutes). Players in the tournament are also eligible to play. ADMINS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS. SORRY!

Your best bet is to contact Blizzard about acquiring a temporary tournament licence for the day. You'll have to have all of your prices settled beforehand, but should be able to get a free licence that allows you to charge a facility entry fee. Pm me if you have any questions.

As Flux- said, the free license allows you to charge an entry fee for lan events, so you should be ok.
Also, are you guys casting live from this event? Do you have casters lined up already?

we have casters lined up and we are casting live =)
we havent chosen betweeen ustream or livestream yet
its either going to be aegis-starcraft (ustream) or aegis_starcraft(livestream)
i have already contacted blizzard. they want information about our sponsors before they give us a license. which we are still working on.
