Side note: Rain is in a hard spot...the only way I see him winning (or even grabbing a couple sets) is through legit 1-base raven/banshee timings or cheesing it, I don't think he could beat MC's PvT in a macro game. If he does any of that though, the community will hate him just that much more, if he get's 4-0'd they will then call him the least deserving finalist ever...Rain literally has no options here unless he can pull off the greatest macro win against MC of all time.

MC is the better player but TSL_Rain has some sick practice partners like sSKS, Squirtle and GuineaPig... I think that MC will take this but it will be close :D

Could anyone summarize what happened. I know Jinro lost 4-0, but I'd like to know what MC did. Game 2 both actually expand. Catch is MC expands with zealots and sentries which is kind of vulnerable to Marines and Marauders. But Jinro doesn't attack and sets up bunkers at expo with a decent amount of MMs. As soon as MC gets expo up, he warps in stalkers non stop, plants a proxy pylon near the hidden grass of xelnaga expo and as soon as he likes his unit numbers FFs the bunkers and just attacks headlong into the Terran fortress. Turns out Jinro's defences were inadequate and had to lift the CC off the expo only to be shot down by some sentries and stalkers. Jinro is totally behind in the eco game and when reinforcement arrives MC just goes up the ramp and finishes the game. Game 3 Cross positions on Shakuras led to think it would be a Macro game. Jinro opens up with a tech barracks and sends a reaper into the base. But reaper misses the stargate I think. Jinro expands as usual with some MM support and even some turrets. But soon MC arrives with 2 VRs and some gateway units. Charges up on structures in main base and Forcefields ramp when army goes up to defend. Basic Void Ray push and FFing the ramp play which was executed very well that Jinro couldn't defend and lost the game as more VRs come in. Game 4 Jinro Thor rushes and MC DT rushes and ends up in a base trade with MC being lucky to get enough money to build an expo whereas Jinro had to build up an emergency Ebay and turrets which made him unable to make a CC so he loses. The most exciting game of the series.

If any korean is going to win GSL, i hope its him. Top 4 finish and S-class on your first GSL season is such an impressive feat. Cheers to Jinro for making this season of GSL so great. At least the finals is not a PvP.. I would have thrown up..

![]() Didn't feel like JinrO thought he could win, he just didn't have the spark. But nevertheless he played somewhat good, but no game lasting over 10 minutes is a mood ruiner for me since this was the last matchup I was looking forward to in the GSL. If JinrO just had belief in himself he couldve easily had a chance. Great job getting to R4 though.

Part of me thinks that he fell into the thought that MC will win no matter what(thats what all the koreans said) thus gave up hope/didn't try as hard as he could have. This is just a speculation. But reguardless i'm so proud to see a foreigner make top 4 in the most prestigious sc2 tournament to date. Congrats Jinro. I hope to see u do even better next season. o, and one more thing, U got code S on ur first qualification (fucking awesome) so i'm guaranteed to see u play again ;P
