nice subtle insults there vs goody "sagt der socke krass, ich würd viel lieber gegen goody spielen als gegen demuslim" Aah in that huge turnaround fight Demuslim shift-attacked all the tanks manually, nice, thats how he killed that force that was much bigger than his.

Im not saying that. I just think that "disconnect=loss" is a really unfair idea, especially when the computers are provided by the tournament and bnet is from blizzard. I think that normally they would have had a regame, but they were so behind schedule that they just gave Demuslim the match

Otherwise, whenever a player feels ahead, he will simply hit the Windows-button on his keyboard and cancel the LAN connection in the task bar. That's a quite ridiculous comparison. Here at the event we have two admins, one behind each player, to make sure that everything is running correctly. The scenario you described would never happen. I stand by my decision to rule the game a win for DeMusliM. I watched the replay together with GoOdy and I can understand his point of view. There was still a very, very minor chance for him to win, as in: - IF his Banshees do a ton of damage (although DeMusliM had turrets and a lot of Orbital Commands to scan) - IF his (non-blue) Hellions kill a lot of SCVs - IF his desperate last push stands a chance against the way superior army of DeMusliM that is containing him The chances of any of this to happen was extremely slim. But to get back into the game and to get a new base up and running he would have needed to have all these things to happen at the same time. GoOdy was almost mined out on his two remaining bases (~1 minute mining time left) and had no more gas. He had half the worker count and a ton of less supply. I believe a referee opinion should matter in cases like these, judgement calls have their place in eSports just like they do in 'real' sports.

I agree with you on this situation ingame, yet you still fail to see the point (I still have to remind you of the nature of SC2 games being highly volatile. You have seen Demu breaking Clouds contain and giving up the advantage again shortly afterwards. You have seen Demu breaking Goody's contain. You even admit Goody still had a chance). Demu went 1-0 not because he won the game, but because you say Goody might not have won. Demu went 1-0 not because his opponent lost the game, but because of ESL's technical issues which Goody could not have flanked, cliffdropped, EMPed, or nuked in any way. What is the point of having a match and/or a whole season of matches, when it's not up to the players to decide the outcome, to play out the winner?
