Investing resources into the Infestor is actually cheaper and faster than investing in Mutas.

5 Mutas = 3 Infestors.
And that's just gas-wise, Infestors are cheaper Mineral-wise in both comparisons.
And Pathogen Gland Infestors come out faster than Mutas.

You guys are forgetting that Foxer took out like 4 or 5 expansions from Leenock...
remember what marineking said? you go infestors hes gonna keep pushing knowing you using up a lot of resources for that tech.

kinda disappointed. I understand why foxer won, but in all seriousness: He only won because of the huge mistakes of his opponent. Foxer has no chance whatsoever against nestea or fruitdealer (he even struggled, despite the huge mistakes of his opponent). I would have prefered to see a more stable and experienced player advance, who wins because of strategy, not because of opponents sloppiness. Oh well, RO8 gotta to have one-sided games I suppose.

that map is very hard for Z though and Leenock made some mistakes

Infestors are good but you need the 3rd base gas to support them. If you don't get mutas off 2 base, then he can just run around abusing medivacs.

He managed to lose the worst way possible in SP, have poor macro on scrap (still won with 1.5+ banked whole game and idle drones) and decided to go ultras of 2 bases in set 3. Just poor play with a decent map pool.

Dunno.... he had a very good marine spread against infestors. Ultras weren't a good choice but when Foxer started pumping up units he was very cost effective even against infestor bling. Not being able to put up 3rd hurt him more than going for ultras imo.

Disappointing series. Even with the map disadvantage, I expected Leenock to put up more of a fight. Nerves got to him ? It seems he played better in his earlier rounds. Or maybe MK is just *that* good.

i also cannot state enough how overhyped this kid is, he had an awesome series vs clide, but those games, while being extremely entertaining, werent necessarily top-level. then he got bye easy vs guinepig
