Not really in the same situation as I'm not making a live from gaming, but somewhat similar in "thinking what to do about my life". I'll stick to Boxer and bet my decision based on what he's going to do .. Lol ^^ I believe in you Boxer. Boxer HWAITINGGGG !!!!

Thankfully he has saved enough money to have a great education. BoXeR hwaiiiiiiiiiiiiting~ Well, he's already being sponsored to forming a new team, so that won't happen for a bit. But yeah, eventually, of course. Also, spotting that Hellion drop was insane!

Moon did not impress me. And no offense to Jinro but Boxer's TvT looks beastly. The ro8 match should be awesome (probably Idra, MVP or Check).

I missed that coz my TV was on. he said something to the effect of that he scanned he felt there was a possible drop (i guess b.c of seeing a lack of units around) and in expectation he sent a viking in the most likely spot it would be marines in the 2nd most likely spot and then a tank in the 3rd most likely spot and luckily the viking was right and took it out.

He used a scan to determine that a drop was incoming. He placed his vikings where he thought most likely the drop would occur. He placed his marines at the 2nd most likely spot and finally his tanks at the least likely spot. Fortunately the medivac came to his vikings.

Or am I thinking of someone else? That was Cyrano, another bad protoss player who lucked his way into the GSL and also got owned by a foreign zerg. I'm getting kind of annoyed by this rhetoric now. Cyrano played decently and at the time Tasteless and Artosis recognized it. Now today they're basically calling him a bad player and everyone on the forum is talking about how badly he was crushed. Yeah, he lost. Leave it at that. Ret was close to losing the set on Metal as well, that deathball protoss had broke his army and pushed into natural. That may have been how it looked from a zerg perspective but any protoss player would tell you that game was lost when the phoenix harass failed to do the damage it needed. Ret was always going to crush that attack simply with mass production of whatever he wanted. But you are right in that people seem to have some selective memory regarding cyranos games. He wasn't terrible. He did still manage to lose a PvZ on Jungle Basin, so he clearly wasn't great. Overall this gsl has been extremely disappointing to watch for a protoss player. It seems like the good protoss players get cheesed out in qualifying and the bad/average ones have managed to cheese themselves into the RO64 ![]()

All the while there are some really strong players that deserve Code S that might not get it straight off. So while I support IdrA, I'd rather he loses to MvP so that MvP has a shot at Code S since IdrA already has it. But mostly, not sure what to say about aLive vs July since both of their play has been impressive. aLive punished Zenio so hard that for me it was the second best matchup of the Ro64 (well well behind Clide vs. Leenock though) but July doesn't do them silly 14 hatch builds like so many others do that if he hangs on long enough he could also win... and also because he is JulyZerg! JSLZenith vs HongUn is another matchup that will be hard, but since HongUn already has Code S, I'd want for JSL to win.

He had the contingencies planned all the way to the third most likely possibility. He's got such a deep understanding of the matchup. Once he trains up on TvZ some more, he's going to start gobbling up GSL's like candy.

BoXeR hwaiiiiiiiiiiiiting~ Boxer has always said he believes his role (and the role of all stars of Starcraft) is to help grow and foster the e-sports acceptance by mainstream audiences and grow awareness that gaming is legitimate as a profession in every manner. That is why he said he wanted to travel and play games worldwide for fans (just like at Blizzcon) in order to spread awareness and popularity of all e-sports games. hes also probably not just talking about education, his girlfriend will probably want to marry him at some point (Moon and iloveoov are progamers with wives, it is possible) and as such more difficulties arise as fully dedicating yourself to training becomes more difficult with the reality of the situation.

+ Show Spoiler + It wasn't even close. IdrA rolled him, at no point in either of the two games did choa even look threatening. I was laughing through the last one, Artosis' commentary was amazing. Not. Even. Close.
