Since hes a decently ranked player on the Korean ladder, it is likely that he is actually a good player but played terribly 2 games in a row. If a random person would watch sanzenith vs CheckPrime in S2, they would think San is an even bigger scrub than Choa. I dunno man, Choa tossing the game away in set 1 was pretty bad... ![]() Yeah, I agree with you. There's no way that Choa is worse than most people here. He just played poorly in a fashion that exaggerated his gap in skill, with his poor simcity giving the game away in set 1, and the BO loss that, to be fair, he should have at least tried to adapt to in set 2. In any case, people calling him bad are saying so only in regards to this GSL match. I doubt anyone honestly thinks that he's actually trash.

Day9 almost never brings up balance or anything like that nor does he ever insult nay of the players, or anything like that. He also feels very objective and unbiased most of the time. I really think that they'd have a lot to learn about professionalism from Day9. as much as i love day9, i wouldnt even buy the gsl ticket if he was casting.. simply because he just doesnt have the style tastosis have.. i mean hes a great analyzer... but... tastosis just more cool ![]()

I suck at this game but you know how fucking much I rage when I see people throwing games away by really bad decisions ? No wonder "brainless" slipped Artosis I doubt he will say it again in the future since its somewhat unprofessional but it is really not that big of a deal. You raging at the game because you're terrible isn't the same as being unprofessional at one's own job. Don't be stupid.

I'm just saying that he's a lot more professional.

Only 3 players have made the RO32 in every GSL so far: Fruitdealer, Maka and IdrA (and check if he wins today). That's some pretty exclusive company.

Well I guess I didnt state my argument clearly I am bad player --> Artosis is not. Allthough I suck I still rage about other players (when I watch games) when the play poorly. Like in all Football game etc do you get my point now ?. Since Artosis has a much better understanding of the game seeing such bad play it must affect his mind :D hence the word brainless slipped. Allthough he does it professionally shit happens. Anybody remembers Foxer first Ro64 games woooah the games were much worse but he and tasteless still managed not to flame the players too much.

But as a supposedly professional anchor you simply do not outright insult competitors for performing poorly, especially when you want so desperately to legitimize the thing you're commentating. The only reason they're getting away with this stuff is because most people around them have no idea what they're saying and they're friends with anyone who does understand. It's not hilarious to you. Let's be clear here, just reading back along the thread, I think you'll find that most people found it funny. And by making these GSL casts entertaining, Artosis IS helping the development of e-sports by giving e-sports a wider audience. I'm not sure if you've read DJWheat's post about the need for professionalism in e-sports, but I feel pretty strongly that it is not needed in this case. Tastetosis has always had a casual, relaxed atmosphere, and there's nothing wrong with that because the foreign stream for GSL really does not matter. GSL is a Korean tournament, marketed towards the Korean audiences and Korean companies seeking to sponsor/advertise. The foreigners watching do not need to be legitimized because it means nothing to GOMTV. Getting people interested in watching SC2 is much more important than anything else in terms of the foreigner scene, because the more viewers that watch GSL, the more viewers that may want to watch other tournaments in the actual foreign scene, where professionalism IS important, and where there is professionalism in casting.

It feels like ST.Rainbow's both to back semi-finals appearances was more impressive as he picked himself back up after losing in S1 and didn't slump or anything after the disappointing loss.

Even BW teams are full of players who perform exceptionally in practice but end up losing on stage. Its not easy AT ALL. All of these armchair quarterbacking platinum/gold leaguers would seriously have no idea about performing on stage. I'm sure that they would end up losing to a worker rush if they played on stage.

Would be a sad day for esports if the casts can't be fun anymore, just business. Yeah remember that word? FUN.
