"Protoss is the weakest race". Come on, this is not your average mmorpg here. Sc2 is still very new. You can't make such assumptions. Every time I heard his name come up the phrase "best protoss in the world" is lurking somewhere in the sentence. If you say he is one of the top then yea I can live with that. However, best in the world? Failing to qualify twice? Now that is overrated. After Artosis and Idra hyped him up certainly his reputation exceeded his skills in the foreign community I guess Idra did that because he got beaten by Tester.
The hype isn't just based on people spewing out words though. Believe it or not there are tournaments in Korea besides the GSL and Tester has repeatedly performed very well in them. He won the last GomTV event before GSL (Star2Siege) beating a field of players like Ensnare/Maka/Cool pretty convincingly.
The most recent broadcast games (TSL's games from the GomTV special) he looked very good which is why its such a shock he didn't qualify again. He beat Rain (GSL qualifier), Fruitdealer, and then beat Sangho playing as Terran.
Throughout the beta he was considered to be the best player on the Korean server. Now, you can argue that the competition has gotten better - and it has. There are many more A-teamers and ex-A-teamers playing SC2 now.
But when you watch his games the skill is there. His mechanics/army control just seem a little better than the all the other protoss. I'm assuming he lost to something similar to last time - Terran timing pushes. Either way though losing two Bo3 series doesn't make you overrated.
Despite the two qualifying losses he still has the best GSL performance of any protoss (reaching Ro8 along with Genius).

jinro and haypro 1sto round??? T_T [Link edited out] (copy paste into browser don't click, otherwise it rickrolls?? wtf?)

I still believe Tester is on of the best protoss in the world, because, as of right now, no protoss are doing shit in the GSL. Inca, Tester, and SangHo all 3 failed to qualify (that's 3 of the top 4 protoss in Korea...)

That's the order they qualified in for GSL 3. It is simply a placeholder. I do not believe the actual bracket has been released yet.

Close to 60% of protoss. 38% Terran. 25% Zerg.............Seems a tad bit sad for the toss fan boys......
Started out as Terran : 39.5% Protoss : 33% Zerg : 23.9% Random : 3.6%
Ended as...... Terran : 39% Protoss : 18.75% Zerg : 40.6% Random : 1.5%

I notice that Genius no longer has the NEX tag. Did he leave? And if so, why?

He just recently joined a 'clan' called NsP this is correct! for those who don't know, in korea there are clans which are largely unsponsored groups that practice together and put their clan IDs in their names, and then there are teams which have sponsors, usually houses where they live together, compete together in team events, and so forth. nexgenius was one of the founders of NsP's sc2 clan, they have a pretty well-known scbw clan. he's still a part of the ZeNEX team (as an additional note, Nex and zenith are still clans and zenex was a team formed out of players from both)
