The funny thing is if you add up the % for all of the Protoss players, it adds up to 38.17%, so based on the favored players, you'd think Protoss is the favored race. Yet the race protoss only has 31.89%, making it the lowest...

Single elimination tournaments turn out like that. It's hard to repeat because players get knocked out by other skilled players. Players of equal skill get knocked out at varying stages based on their draw. Consistency is better than brilliance for these formats.

Yup, that's what single elimination is about. A zerg with good ZvT and ZvP could get knocked out by a good ZvZ player, for example. Or a strong player with weakness can get knocked out by that one weakness. Typically, a macro player losing to an early aggression player. Whereas a balanced reactive player would lose to a macro player but beat an early aggression player.

What do you expect, SC2 is still a new game. Its still too early for one person to reign on top.

So awesome to see Jinro in the final four. Regardless of whether he wins or loses, making it this far in the tournament is a humongous accomplishment for himself and the other players. Its kind of neat seeing all these great players winning tournaments without 3 or 4 guys just absolutely crushing everyone...yet. Makes me want to get off my butt and improve my game.
