Okay, wtf is this? The extended series system makes no sense in the first place, but how can they even screw the grand finals up like this?
It definitely should, with any logic, be so that the first set is an extended series and then there's one more Bo3 if the one coming from the losers bracket wins the extended series.
As is, it actually makes no sense, and basically removes the whole loser's bracket system from the winner. In double elimination you need to lose twice to be out of the tournament. Now he's out if he loses just once.
If you use an awful, terrible, and horrible system like extended series, at least use it properly. WTF, MLG?
That being said, ehh I'm cheering for Jinro.

shit someone remind me what the nuke game was so I can show my friend the replay, I watched it but can't remember who it was or what game

Ofc they are, jinro was Team-A before last patch, TLO was Team-B since like forever..

just start 0/0 with a bo7 lol no. winner of the winner bracket should have an advantage Why essentially make past wins carry over to a completely new series?

You both lost to another player fair and square, why do they get an advantage?
isn't it unfair that jinro has not lost a winner bracket where as tt1 did?? You guys are CLUELESS! This is fair with jinro

So is it really just one Bo7 that starts 2-1? That is actually unfair to Jinro because in the normal two Bo3 format TT1 would have to win 4 games against him but now he only has to win 3.

is it confirmed that grand final is extended series? I mean day9 and djwheat are just commentators, not admins, they might have it wrong.

Still doesn't feel right, even when the TL guy gets the "extended series" advantage.
Also, MLG has been using the extended series for quite a while in WoW, for anyone who never followed that. It didn't work there, either.
All that said, should be a good match!
I'm hoping that MLG take SC2 more seriously than WoW.

What? I thought TLO was A-team and got dropped to B-team when he switched to Zerg.

But if the two of them hadn't met in winners bracket before Jinro would have to win 2 games to win, and TT1 would need to win 4 to win.
This is such bullshit. What?
