Half of the people on this message board aren't real and are just bots or the mods' smurf IDs. Hear me out. You ever notice how the same type of thread gets started over and over again? It's like clockwork. Just go use the search function. 90% of the titles are pretty much duplicates. The "people" ask the same questions and other "people" give just about the same responses over and over again. How hard would it be for a natural language processor to handle some of that? Just switch out some key verbage using synonyms and parsing of "real" comments and there ya go. A lot of the comments aren't even that hard to produce. When something amazing at a tourney happens, you get spammed with: OMGGSSG!!! or EPIC or ROLFSTOMP. You don't even need the bots to form complete sentences most of the time and in fact, you wouldn't want them to in the case of masquerading as non-native English speaking "users". Why would teamliquid do this? Think about it. They get to claim that they are tops in the Starcraft pro-gaming foreigner scene. They fool sponsors and Koreans into thinking that they have this huge following. They infiltrate pro-gaming in Korea w/ their "Team" and install Tastosis as casters. But I see the cracks in their facade. Some of it was too obvious like that whole poll w/ Boxer and Nada being 50-50 up into the thousands of votes. Then there were those planted questions about "how to handle cannon rushes in your backside" and questioner IDs like BigDongStudios.... Yeah, this is definitely 3 guys in their basement working some elaborate hoax to pull the wool over all our eyes. In fact, I might not be talking to anyone right now at all. This whole match fixing thing is an attempt to troll me and drive me insane. Well played, Team Liquid. Well played. Or should I say... well played, Jamie, Bob and..... Karl...? + Show Spoiler + On November 03 2010 08:07 Zyphen wrote: Yes, Karl. That's precisely why I'm finally onto your little game. You tried to distract me with this whole GSL fiasco but now I'm wise to your schemes. You're in cahoots w/ NASA aren't you? There is no pro-gaming scene. It's all staged on some Hollywood set w/ a bunch of Korean extras. That's a clever little mind trick you tried to pull there about far-fetched scenarios but I'm just one step ahead of you on how far-fetched I'm willing to go. Check. And mate. Translation: "He has an opposing view and even though it's extremely far-fetched, I must utterly mock him. After all, who needs rational and civilized counter-arguments when you can put effort into several paragraphs of nonsense?" Sure is 14 years old in here. Don't get me wrong though, I'm with you on this one, but jesus fucking christ... I doubt a 14 year old could come up with all that. I'm pretty proud of my nonsense. If you care to reason with these people normally, have at it, sir. I would like to see you argue with someone whose argument is basically: "well, you can't prove this is not true, so it might be... and I have a gut feeling it is...". I prefer to combat trolls with outright mockery. To each his own.

EDIT: Oh, and reading through the thread, I see a lot of people talking about match fixing. I honestly think such baseless conjecture should not be allowed. So Nada goes through a long and hard-fought BW career, turns down a solid salary to play SC2, and NOW decides to participate in match fixing? Can we stop accusing every player who does poorly one night of match fixing?

This means you'll really have to click the spoilers to check the result and summary if you haven't found out yet.

What's the point of this thread then? Typing "OMFG" 20 times? The "nuke push" should be forcing your opponent to unsiege, thus giving you time to inch forward with your tanks, while he's running away from the nuke. If you have to move backwards to doge your own nuke, I'd pretty much say that's a mistake. If you don't agree, feel free to state why that move was not a mistake. Bannable though? Lol. I was thinking about this today; when he first did the nuke the position of it clearly pointed towards a cancel; I almost feel like he was trying to bait boxer in since logically it clearly looked like a canceled nuke push. This isn't a rabid fanboy comment either; these guys make mistakes I totally get that there is a lot of pressure; but I really feel like nada was going for a VERY long shot (or perhaps frustration). The reasoning is nada knew the nuke distance radius down to the hair line (ie he isn't a nuke nub like myself), when he pulls his tanks back they are SO close to the nuke range. Anyway all speculation.

Mind boggles, how can you throw out accusations like that without anything to back it up exept that one of the players did not play the way you thought he would play? Maybe Nada was not confident in his mechanics over Boxer, maybe he thought that the edge Boxer would get by constant and awesome harrass would outweight the edge Nada had with better mechanics. There are so many possibilities and people go for match fixing...
