A shame for either ustream or your internet crapping out a few times, but still enjoyable to watch in between chapters of reading I postponed.
I'm sure taking every base on the map was completely necessary to beat him at that point too right? Its probably pretty upsetting to lose because of such a stupid mistake in front of thousands of people on stream and losing a prize like that. He GG'd soon after he lost his natural when Idra finally decided to come attack him.

why is building hatches in your opponents base bm? wouldn't it help you end the game faster spawning units closer to the rest of your army? WHY ARE YOU ALL SUCH BABIES

IdrA always GGs appropriately (like RO16 GSL2, or when he cancelled his CC instead of halting it in BW) so I imagine thats another reason he was manner hatching.

Are you just trying to find stuff to cry about or what?
Are you really saying a Zerg player taking expansions all over the map is unnecessary?

Idra doesn't always GG, he is the only top level player I can remember ever seeing rage quit in a tournament.

Spamming mules, sending drones, w/e seems like standard practice when the game is obviously over without a gg.

You just took your previous wrongness to a whole new level. Normally I wouldn't respond to such silliness... but good lord.
ps: if you haven't seen other "top pros" not gg then you don't watch any sc2 outside of the GSL.

Hm, let's call it the Jaedong tourney...
Idra vs. Huk Huk vs. Slush LzGamer vs. Machine Slush vs. LzGamer
They all had a 0:1, just to get 3:1'ed
Only in Huk vs Machine somehow the loser took the 2nd game instead of the 1st (maybe they both should get DQéd for that!). But all others were 0:1 into 3:1. :D

And is that really a surprise? He practises a LOT more, has more experience, and competes at the highest level in Korea.
Actually, in recent interviews IdrA said he was practising around 8h a day and HuK said between 10h and 12h a day (plus some physical training here and there)... so this "fact" is erroneous. Besides that, I enjoyed the games despite I wish HuK won in the end... Thing is, you just can't outmacro IdrA late game apparently! Maybe true, but IdrA plays against the top players in the world. HuK plays against the top North American players, and HuK pretty much is the top North American player. IdrA plays against people above or equal to his level, HuK plays against people who are mostly below his level. You can't get better that way. That's pretty much true (with some exceptions, for exemple HuK training with Boxer at blizzcon) and that's why I just can't wait to see him perform in GSL3 and the future ones. He will obviously benefit from the higher level of training there and I definitely think he has what it takes to make a name for himself, even in Korea!
Hey I fully agree with you! Like I said in my original post, I think he has tons of potential and I'm really hoping we will perform really well in GSL3. The more foreigners we have over there the better! They make for better interviews

I think people are taking his expansion thing too seriously.

I was really impressed with the tournament as a whole. Some insanely good games, like the third match I believe it was between Lz and Torch and the second match between Huk and drewbie. I would love to get my hands on those replays without the commentary just to watch them from both players perspectives. Great commentary. And sans Ustream crashing out a couple of times it was well done. Good finals between Huk and Slush, and even though Huk didn't beat IdrA, shit happens and that's all there is to it. He made a misclick. He can and will grow in Korea playing against absolute cream of the crop players like NaDa.

It's bm, but what's wrong with that?
It's like Maka nuking his own army, or Foxer building 10 raxes, manner mules, etc.

It's IdrA. He could win the GSL3, donate all of his winnings to a charity, and people would still say he's bad and selfish... 1000% guaranteed. A famous internet catchphrase would normally go here that rhymes with gator.

Whatever. Its pointless trying to argue with Idra fanboys, I don't know why I even tried.

lol that bolded part was a joke, right?
please, please tell me you were kidding.

Sigh. People, people.. srsly ><
Anyways, great tournament guys, enjoyed it a lot!
And I'll be the first to admit I swooned at seeing more IdrA macro magic going on, but there's no shame in losing to that (especially in such an unfortunate way). If anything, I'd love to see HuK pick up some of that extra experience and refinement the Gregmeister (yes yes, I know, it's Grack) has overseas, even better games for all of us.
But first.. rematch in Dallas?

The point wasnt SAYING gg but admitting defeat. Idra admits defeat the moment he has no chance to win, some people dont... thats all I meant. Saying gg or not has nothing to do with it.

Some people are taking things waaaay too seriously. Trash talking, the so called "manner" actions and winning ceremonies are part of the game. This is not a 5 o'clock tea party, this is a competitive game. If a player has a solid foundation and has proven that he is one of the best, hell yeah, he can afford to be cocky. I would love it if IdrA focuses all of his rage energy on just humiliating his opponents sometimes. No typing, just pure pwnage.

Where was the mass corruption/changeling/infested terrans? He couldn't even spell out 'Evil Geniuses' in Spine Crawlers for us? What a goodie twoshoes little bitch.
