On the contrary, if you watch GSL, the best Zergs have taken each other out, and FD was taken out by terran. And generally, there are lack of protoss players in there.

This result is not because of imbalance, it's because of Huk being better than others, IMO.

I felt like the finals were a little anti-climatic. HuK played good, but Slush made a lot of mistakes and was going for very risky 1-base strats. I feel like Slush did a lot better in his other mu's

Well, idra is used to play in auto pilot, he could do his build in his sleep, I'm sure we won't be able to see the difference between sharp idra and jetlagged idra :D

Game3:
Slush pics Delta Quadrant and gets close positions. He open with macro play and goes hatch first, meanwhile Huk goes gate -> core and get warp gates going.
Slush then gets a roach warren up but before he can get some units out Huk slips into the main with Zealot/Sentry. Forcefielding the ramp Huk does a decent amount of damage killing drones at the expo from the cliff and killing drones in the main too before his force dies.
Slush then tries to counter but FFs catch him out as Huk now has his expo up protected by some cannons and he has immortals out now.
Huk then continues to apply pressure keeping Slush on his toes. Slush gets Mutas out and take the gold but the mutas don't do much harass damage and before the gold can really kick in Huk attacks and wins.

Game4:
Slush pics Metalopolisis and they get close positions both at the North.
Slush opens his 10pool into roach/ling timing attack.
This time Huk is ready and gets a cannon at his ramp. When the roaches hit he has stalker,zealot,sentry out. He FFs the ramp trapping the roaches IN against his zealot wall and barely kills the roaches. Slush makes a mistake leaving his followup lings waiting outside Huks base, they could've maybe finished the game.
After that Huk had an obvious macro advantage. Slush gets some banelings next but Huk times a nice followup attack which is executed with nice FFs and he pulls further ahead expanding behind his attack. Huk then keeps poking and applying pressure before eventually running slush over with his Zealot/Staker/Immortal army.

From memory,

game 3: Slush bottom left, Huk bottom right on delta. Huk pushes out with sentry/zealot force walks into main forcefields ramp. Starts to pick off drones while continuing to forcefield ramp, at the same time expanding and building two cannons at expo. Slush holds push and takes third, and goes zling muta and 4 roach. Before 3rd can kick in, huk attacks with zealot/sentry/stalker immortal and overpowers slush with +1attack. Slush gg

Game 4: Huk 9:00 Slush 12:00 on metal. Slush doesn't fast expo, instead pushes with roach at huk's front, but huk holds with 1 cannon 1 stalker 1 sentry 1 zealot. Slush puts down expo. Huk pushes into Slush's main again, but Slush holds off with zling baneling Roach. Huk pushes later again after securing his expo with Immortal zealot sentry stalker again with +1attack. Slush just got hydra den and 4 hydras, but Huk kills hydras almost instantly when they hatch, takes down natural expo and Slush GGs.
