His manager confirmed that during some russian tournament broadcast. They don't think it's necessary to make too much of a deal from that i suppose.

Since IdrA is 5/5, he won't be finished until probably 3-4 hours after it starts. That leaves 5 hours until dreamhack starts, and the flight from korean to europe alone would take 10~12 (5000 miles)
But IdrA doesn't play on dreamhack day1 so.. he has 3-4 + 24 hours to get there.. shouldn't be a problem?

There is an entire day where some players don't even play? If that is the case it may be possible, they should confirm it

This was the impression I got atleast.

LOOL TOP comes and has to play in the BYOC-qualifications first - I nearly fell off the chair both because of the epicness and the hilarity
Also Inca playing means we will finally see a korean protoss fighting it out against the western elite - this will be so awsome, especially considering the protoss-QQ going on right now. Hopefully Inca shows some awsome builds and gives us hope to continue our battle for Aiur.
EDIT: Also I think that Inca and TOP "bother" to participate is a huge deal for the foreign scene. That's different than blizzcon, it's "just" a regular tournament (although it has the potential to be even better than IEM cologne). In BW I couldn't recall major events where korean pro-gamers thought it's worth the effort to come to NA/Europe for a tournament.

wow talk about bad luck if you run into oGsTOP first round of BYOC hahaha
|
Only a single american in DH? =\
Guess Huk has to represent NA w/ Tyler

Is there any kind of seeding in the BYOC qualifier? Theres quite a few good names there (TOP, darkforce, naniwa, jimpo among others). Would be really nice if all those could make it into main tourny and not have to fight each other in the qualifier.

This will be an awesome ro8 or even ro16 i believe. truly great players here competing for a serious amount of cash.
And yeah IdrA is playing for S-class status basically, once he beats this guy he is pretty much S-class in GSL 2011. That's gotta be worth it. It's like a whole year of guaranteed prize money which can easily go up into the thousands if you get high enough... jesus, I'm jealous, lol.

i haven't been this hyped since IEM cologne and MLG Dallas, shit this so epic

Man, this tournament is going to be fucking epic! Sc2 sure is exploding as an esport in the west! Koreans coming to Sweden for a SC2 tournament? That sure brings some competition for the money!

We already saw this when Genius went to Blizzcon.
He won it.

I think the invitation list is quite alright. I read some people moaning about too few NA players got invited in this and in another thread; but to be honest, MLG lacks European players and it only makes sense that this will be the case when the Atlantic separates the players and the tournament. Not only the cost of attending increase, but local eSport fans surely want to see players from their own country/region.
The only time it will and should be equal is when there is a world qualification tour preceding the tournament.
