It's absolutely asinine how little money GSL players get unless they make top 4, when idra could have a very good chance of making top 3 in dreamhack and making 4-15k dollars.
GSL is so top heavy :/
Idra needs S class. Thats why he going to GSL.

Because as a viewer watching the stream last year all was fine from my end but might been otherwise there since I haven't competed at Dreamhack. 2008 and 2009. The stream is maybe fine, but for the players, the lan network drops constantly during official games, which is so bad, sometimes it drops only for part of the players and not for the others, which screw things up big time. The thing that i find bad about this lan is that they rank their games and don't give them the same importance. Like they provide computers for the Counter-Strike tournament while the other tournaments people need to bring their computers with them. They provide better technical assistance for some tournaments and not for others. Like they can give you shit if u ask for something, but if it's the CS tournament you would have a team of staff members asap trying to fix it. And when you complain they will just say oh counter-strike is more important (in lan language = eat shit).
Have you considered this is because no one takes dota seriously as a game?

I don't understand this... Didn't IdrA play on the 25th in the GSL? The dreamhack tournament starts on 25th, but on that day there is only the BYOC qualifier and he shouldn't play until the 26th?
|
i think SjoW will win this! go sjowie!
|
afaik MorroW won't attend at this DH. His Zerg isn't good enough, so hes going stay at home and play

Dreamhack starts 9 hours after Day 4a, IdrA's bracket.
Since IdrA is 5/5, he won't be finished until probably 3-4 hours after it starts.
That leaves 5 hours until dreamhack starts, and the flight from korean to europe alone would take 10~12 (5000 miles)

so guys, is it for sure now that brat_ok got his visa denied again?
|
Hm if Morrow, Idra and Bratok do not go to DH will there be some further invites as replacements?
|
So no Idra, no Bratok, no Morrow. Any word on replacements? Would be cool if more high level American players could come to boost the lineup a bit.
|
I think this might be a bit sudden for NA players if they get invited as they`d have to organise a lot but I certainly would not mind someone like qxc or kiwikaki.
|
I would love some official confirmation about Idra, Brat_OK and Morrow. Has anyone found some?
|
i really hope that they won't invite new players but give more spots for the byoc qualification
|
brat_OK is always denied..damn,, is there any chance he could still go? i mean he could re-visit the embassy..
|
Nah, byoc will be mostly semi-known scandinavians so new invites are neccessary to keep the level high. I mean DH has to compete with the last mlg.

He meant that new players will have to go through the qualifiers instead of being directly invited. Most players on the top level should able to qualify anyway.

-HasuObs -Naugrim -Darkforce -GoOdy -Kas -NightEnd -Strelok -Jimpo -cHoBo -merz -ClouD -SarenS -MaNa -NaNiwa -iNSoLeNCe -eNvious -Satiini -NarutO
Thats just from Europe and probably half of these are scandinavian. Add US/Canada there and youre golden .
