What is Stratbunker? The Strategy Bunker, or Stratbunker for short is a group of skilled Starcraft II players who give lessons and create guides to improve the every day and competitive player's skillsets. Our youtube page provides analysis of high profile matches and tournament games, with much more to come in the future.
Who is Lazarus? Noah Lazarus is a Starcraft II player and team owner interested in getting involved in community events and promoting Starcraft II as a whole. He has been attending all the MLG events and getting a feel for the scene and its players. He will be providing the cash prizes for our showmatches and tournaments.
Shoutcasting: There will be an hour delay between when the games are played and when the shoutcasting goes live to prevent stream abuse in matches with this kind of prizepool. If the players are in Korea it will most likely be done from replays due to timezone issues.

this looks awesome! i was hoping to see these two play more games at MLG DC =P
Wow thats crazy 300$ in a bo5 should be some good games doubt any of them (especially huk) will do anything too unorthodox .
Sweet... I can't wait.
Gogo Huk!
Goodluck to both of them. I really can't decide who to back. Should be awesome
I think the question on all our mind:
Will Select use the same build? lol
selectoooo represent asian pride and terran imbaness
Sweet! All I can say is Huk, you better do a lot better
Noah Lazarus. What a badass name.
But yes, looking forward to these matches and some sneaky HuK play! Make us proud :D
Will HuK get his revenge? I am not going to miss this!
Nice! Can't wait for this showmatch
bah this is the same time as the wyseley tourney
can't miss this, i'm predicting that Huk takes it 3-2
:O Super excited! Go SeleCt!
They should be some great matches.
Let's see HuK stopping SeleCT's predictable TvP style
SeleCT has this in the bag.
very cool - and HuK and Select get along great (they play 2s) so it should be a fun match to watch!!
for the next one, I'd love to see some other really strong NA players vs - m00nglade, qxc, PainUser, Fenix, Kiwi, I'm sure any of these guys would put on great matches
or anyone in the sc2ranks points+ratio Top 25
edit: also it would be awesome to see some pro 2v2 action, like Cella+TT1 vs catz+drewbie
hope Huk does another mothership rush....since select would be definitely wtf
so uh...is the date being moved then?
Can't wait to see the showmatch, huk fighting!
HD and Painuser? My interest in this slows down
SelecT will win this to finally declare to everyone that he is awesome
Huk will fall into more depressions followed by even more training => causing a huge success at GSL3
And after so many miracle predictions i make just another one: someone will call me "ridicules noob and i will get probably an warning for this post"
@HD you will never be known as an good Commentator until you drop your fake passion for Starcraft! I really loved you, until i realized that you do the most for fame sorry my opinion

He is Asian, the love for starcraft 1 & 2 is in the genes, he has roughly 270k subs on youtube, a good commentator would not have that, now please do us all a favour and remedy your lack of intelligence and gtfo
These should be really good games, looking forward to this :D
lol easy money for SeleCT. SeleCT need better opponent!
HuK does fine with the lower tier of known players, however for $300 bucks we could have a epic battle!
HuK can match players like LzGaMeR, Machine and Painuser but SeleCT is just a level above that at the moment.
I was hoping for SeleCT vs DIAMAGA, Morrow, Tarson, Naniwa or something like that for a epic battle!
Select > Huk. End of story. The only player Select can lose to on the NA server is Idra. The only player idra can basically lose to on the NA server is Select too.
5.00 PST is 1300 Korean Time?
wow 300$ and just a two player bracket...one word for the prize pool. *AMAzinG!*
Yeah the stratbunker showmatches and tournaments will have an amazing prizepool. This much we promise! Hopefully some great games too.

go HuK! Select is good but HuK has more experience and will win this tournament.
Will the match be played live or casted from replays?
Awesome, Hopefully HuK will try his best and not try to mothership rush :/. Looking for a good series like the series of them in the BigT Brawl. Their matches were exciting to watch. Muted of course
HuuuuKKKK Fighhhtttiiiiiiing

I thought HuK was doing a showmatch with Machine tonight at about the time this is advertised for?

All I know is that the HuK vs. Select matchup in the Big T Brawl was f'ing epic.

Yeah, Select has only played around 700 ladder games actually...which is substantially fewer than HuK once you realize that HuK also has a high ranked Euro account.

select has about 1600 ladder + custom games HuK NA has about 1100 ladder + custom and Huk EU has about 600 ladder + custom so they are pretty close (customs include obs'd games, etc) although Select does have about 300 2v2s
anyways, that's a shit ton of games for both players, avg. close to 20 a day

I believe it says the match will be streamed an hour after it starts to avoid any foul play, but your right, I am also curious where it will streamed at that point?

replay?thats sucks i dont watch this

What song is playing right now?
That was the album "Classics" by Ratatat
glad the host of this just told us who won beforehand...
Nice job with the spoilers.........I cannot believe it. The casters just ruined the match for us.
Epic PainUser :D EPIC!! :D:D:D:D:D
Loving that you spoiled the winner before even showing the first replay. Showing how many games there were, not a very good idea either.
and the CASTERS spoil the results BEFORE the games even start.
I have no idea wtf pain user was thinking.....ruined it for ALOT of people!!
The caster goes: "Sooo, right after this we'll have an interview with the winner HuK". And the chat goes crazy. How do you not think before you SPOIL the winner of the whole match lol
"At least nobody knows the score"
Oh wait, let me guess, I can see + Show Spoiler + replays, so + Show Spoiler +?
Or you were smart enough to create fake replays, but considering you spoiled the winner, doubtful.
Well, Pain User spoiled the result. Kinda took the fun out for me. Also someone keeps sniffing their blocked nose which is pretty nasty.
Disappointed.

Nice. Specifically it's " Tacobel Canon" by Ratatat.
huk will win this! but GL both!
First they delay the match, then spoil the results and don't apologize..........this has got to be the worse cast ever. Definitely not watching now.
Ruined for me, don't think i'll bother watching now
Yea, just watch HuK play Machine LIVE. Match already started!
Haha what a joke, the replay time is not even covered.
Guys should at least cover the length of the replays when casting it :/
One of them is like twice as loud as the other. Hideous
livestream is lagging so bad.
Well, turned off the stream. Spoilers, Caster who doesn't blow his nose, No apologies, Huge delays, Replay time not covered and now a laggy stream.
they gave away the winner, stated late, and aren't covering up the length of the game. i think i'll go watch the live game on giantbomb.
The ingame sound is insanely high as well, impossible to hear what the casters are saying during battles.
Basic Rules of Casting:
Start on time Don't spoil the results of the game before the series to start Cover the replay bar Don't show the number of games Be in sync with the commentary
Very nicely done Painuser&co.

He did
+ Show Spoiler +The last 3 games were played within a minute of each other, meaning 3-1 HuK I think, being that it's a Bo5, right?
Are replays going to be released after this? I would certainly enjoy it more watching alone.
I don't want to be the person who's bitching but I really am insulted by the lack of professionalism found here. There are a load of problems that have occurred and I believe that housemd did a sufficient job stating. All I want to note is that there's a standard that is expected on Teamliquid and this did not meet up to it.
I understand that to a certain extent, some things cannot be helped but being on time is certainly not one of those...as for the lag, I'm sure it's a stream issue so that is acceptable...it happens. Painuser and HD are both great guys and I think you both can do much better

I just closed the stream as well. The casters aren't synchronized, the quality is pretty terrible, the replay button is NOT hidden, the Info tab is on "None" all the time. Terrible.
Think i'll just go watch iccup cast the GGI instead, has more games with Huk anyway and much more professional casting than this.
wtf just happend? It switched to VOD?
HEY MAN!!! WHAT THE HELL!?
Nice, mid game HuK transitioned into Zerg
fail stream we all got trolled T_T ingame too loud lagging and spoiled before cast started
Went away a couple of minutes and just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it's suddenly a TvZ streaming? Okay ;s
What a fucking fiasco event, cant believe this got put on the calendar to be frank..
Got HD screaming in my ear.. I can't hear Painuser.. I know who won. I know how many games. I know how long each game is.
I'm still watching unperturbed, but I can see why people are a little put off by the presentation here.
errr... what's going on? Some VOD on now?
damn why did they have to ruin huk vs select in the worst way possible
Does anyone sell casting lessons? I found some potential customers
back up with a 5 minute HOLE
wow what a lag
and nice game 2!!
I think this should be on HD's vision, hes a much more experienced caster. (and doesn't spoil the results of the matchup) Also, finally came back up after missing all game 2
close your eyes and imagine Day9 casting it !
On October 29 2010 09:54 Senx wrote: What a fucking fiasco event, cant believe this got put on the calendar to be frank.. I think this could have been done a lot better.
This is pretty sad, Pain is lagging so bad. The stream keeps crashing. Wish the chat wasn't locked so we could at least talk or get info. Instead we just sit and wait, or if you are smart... go watch something else instead and wait for them to be on youtube.
Nothing covering the replay bar? Thats really the only thing ruining it for me
horrible event, good matches but very inexperienced streamer for sure
The stream is definitely not in HD as painuser claimed.
Check out HuK vs. Select in the BigT Brawl (youtube or sc2casts). The series was unbelievably good.
I'm enjoying the event. It's free and it's between two top level players. What more could you want?

GSL is free, between arguably even higher level players and its professional. Grants GSL is live events, at least cover the time bars and dont spoil the games before you even start casting. On the subject of casting how about turning your sound off so i ca actually hear what you are trying to say?
I like PainUser and HD's casting, but Painuser's stream sucks massively. Lag, pauses, more quality, etc...
On October 29 2010 10:22 Killerbot wrote: I like PainUser and HD's casting, but Painuser's stream sucks massively. Lag, pauses, more quality, etc...
Yeah, not sure why they wouldn't use HDStarcraft's stream, I've seen him stream before and it's pretty good quality.
I think they're trying to get the whole Stratbunker thing running without having to rely on HD. Obviously they need more experience.
Props to pain for trying, I mean he got HD to come help cast, just wasn't prepared, I have a great feeling the ext thing they do will be awesome. Just need to give em some time.
Liked the event, just in-experience was a bit of a dampener. Pain is a pretty good caster, just the camera control is more like him watching a replay for himself rather than to show it to a good of viewers.

Another showmatch coming up this week, anyone in particular you guys would like to see? I was thinking test out some of the TL guys who have been out in Korea against eachother? Or pit them against some top out of Korea foreigners? Post your thoughts!
Liquid vs Liquid would be fun, though I would love to see a showmatch involving Sheth or Gretorp.
How about a Jinro vs Huk showmatch? I want to see more of Jinro's mech play, and we haven't seen Huk in a tournament in a while.

That sounds like a brilliant idea. I would love to see a showmatch between Huk vs TLO or Tyler vs TLO, I heard that Huk, Ret, Tyler and TLO are heading to Finland for the Winter Assembly offline tournament. They might be in Finland already, too. So, it would be perfect if they had a show match against each other.

Huk is going to be in Finland for the Winter Assembly, while Jinro will still be in Korea. There's a huge latency issue between the Europe and Korean servers.

Get Mvp.
On a more serious note though lol, I would like to see someone like NEXPuzzle or ST_Bomber vs Jinro or idra. I think that'd be cool.
HuK vs MVP or some other good player.

PainUser v iNcontroL please (:
iNcontroL vs SeleCT or Naniwa vs Idra or Tyler vs BratOK or qxc vs Ret

I want to see HuK vs SeleCt again The last showmatch was a while ago so it's nice to see the evolution of the metagame and the players' styles over the last few months.
HuK vs TLO while they are both in the same continent would be awesome.

Lets see Gretorp playing, he's been too quiet lately in terms of playing, would really like to see him TvZ. I'd also suggest avoid cross server play, it just feels... bleh.

Ya Kiwi V ret would be amazing.

HuK vs Jinro
omg...make it happen :O

I would say HuK vs KiWiKaKi, but...PvP is kind of frowntown right now.
Honestly, HuK vs IdrA would be the best for drama. There's no shortage of entertainment when those two face each other on ladder.

huk vs idra or jinro, MAKE IT HAPPEN PLZ!!

Yes! This would be an awesome choice, especially after Ret won Assembly in Finland.

Ok so we decided on Huk vs Jinro due to the Jinro/Idra showmatch we really wanted to showcase a pvt and who better than these two players?

Second Showmatch: Jinro vs Huk
The link is directed to the Huk vs. Select match. I also don't find Huk vs. Jinro on youtube.com/stratbunker

I think it's just a poorly worded op. I don't think they have released the Jinro vs Huk games yet. I might be wrong though.
It says after the first paragraph: Match Start Date: TBA, but coming soon.
They probably should write what the vods are for though if it isn't for the one in the title.

What the? Hey OP, wanna explain pls?
HuK fighting!!!, Will be a great series, hope its Bo7!!

On SC2 Central in kinda sounded like it has already been taken place, but you might be right there.

Had to postpone due to players being busy with GSL, what players would you guys like to see in the series from North America? Whats the biggest match we could get going with the current standing of players? Kiwikaki vs Idra sounds pretty good to me. Post thoughts.
Would an Idra vs Tyler rematch be redundant?
