greeny: Players have up to 20 minutes to show up for the match from the scheduled match time. For instance...
Round 1 - 8pm EST (forfeit loss @ 8:20pm EST)
Round 2 - 8:30pm EST (forfeit loss @ 8:50pm EST)
So if you finish Round 1 early at lets say 8:15pm EST. You have till 8:50pm EST before you take a forfeit loss for the Round 2 match.

I've played in 1 open cup and 2 GBF cups and I've enjoyed them.
I'm sticking with the GBF cups as that's where I belong.

There is a Check-In button on the page. Usually it's open an hour before the tournament starts.
The bracket is listed under the Tournament Tree tab.
Be sure you have registered at the ESL site.
You also need to save and upload the replays. I'm able to do it, so I know anyone can

I may be retarded, but I couldn't find info on prizes. I don't necessarily mean money, but is there any sort of points awarded like for some of the EU cups i've seen through ESL?

I don't care what you guys do with the map pool--I'm gonna keep signing up anyway--but it would be really nice if you would reconsider allowing LT in a bo1 elimination round. It is extremely difficult ZvT

You should post some prizes to descriptions although you hinted it in your prior post. I say this because there's another cup going on during the same time as this one, but I'm probably going to stay in this one since it's more organized than joining a forum.
But yeah, prize pool brings in both entrants and motivation

StormX: You can add your character code in the following format: "Name#Code". For instance, my SC2 character code is Beef.656 so on the ESL site, I would enter it as Beef#656

I'm getting some conflicting info as to the start time of the GO4SC2 Cup 3. This thread says that check-in is at 7:00-7:40pm EST, with match start at 8:00pm EST. The check-in info at nationalesl.com however, is telling me that the check-in is 8:00-8:40pm EST, and match starts at 9:00pm EST.

FlashIsHigh: To report a win, go to the bracket page and click on "vs." to view the Match Page. Then click on "Matchsetup (Enter Result)". After a match is reported, the other player must confirm the results.

I apologize Drock. There was some miscommunication and our admin who handles tonight was out for his birthday. I have posted the brackets and the cup will continue as normal. Again, I am sorry about this.

Your issue was taken care of last night. We had to update the map rotation which showed some matches as deleted, this lasted about 5 minutes and players were able to report again. We tried to do this while Round 2 was going on so players wouldn't have issues when they returned from that game. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I'm wanting to go in some tournaments to see how I go / play against some good players and to see what its like. My concern is that because I'm still not very good at the moment should I hold off on doing things like the 1on1 open ladder and esl cup??
Is there any disadvantages to playing when I'm not at my best?
Or do score boards get regularly reset in which case my bad history of performances wouldn't affect me in the future??

Well thats nice, I just played someone who did a "namechange". Turns out, they got their 2s partner to play instead (Rank 3 Diamond 1v1). Didn't realize till I checked his profile afterwards. Obviously, you can't have a 2s team with yourself. Fail So ended up going 22 min with a better player than a possible win vs a platinum.

superturil and animostas: I apologize for the tournament starting late. Our admin had some personal issues and got home late. We are looking to bring more staff members on to correct this issue.
ZergCushion: Our cups are open for everyone and our ladders are tiered based on skill so I would suggest you join the one closest to your SC2 Ladder ranking (i.e. Silver, Gold, etc.). Also, on Thursday nights we have a Novice Cup for Bronze-Gold players only. You can sign up for that here
Scruffy: Please submit a support ticket or contact an admin to get your issue taken care of. Please be sure to check your opponents profile before you start the match so issues like this can be dealt with. If you play the match and realize this afterwords, we may not be able to overturn the match.

Sometimes we do allow others to signup or checkin if they are late and we have enough space. Just ask an admin on the night of the tournament.
