If there are 128 total participants per group, and there are 4 groups a day, that means that there are 512 people competing each day. Over the course of 4 days, that means only a total of 2048 participants, despite 2500+ people registering.
Of those people who aren't showing up for the qualifiers, I really hope that there's not a large fallout in the 250+ foreigners stated to have registered. So far, we've seen so few non-Korean names :[. If they made the commitment to come to Korea, I would have thought we'd definitely be seeing more of their names in these brackets by now.
There is 8 groups and 16 players qualifying every day

I wish they'd just post the brackets so you can follow players on certain days rather than this random tune in crap like it is now.

When they said 250 foreigners they didnt mean 250 from the EU/NA. I'd put 20 buks down that a whole bunch of them are from places like China or Taiwan.

There are only 2 players from china. Loner and Luffy, loner qualified, luffy eliminated by lyn.
I think 0 from Taiwan (not completely sure about Taiwan).
Maybe lots of registered foreigners are just students who are studying in Korea.

I suspect it's actually gomtv padding the numbers or Koreans accidently misrepresenting themselves as foreigners or foreigners signing up with no intent to show up. Since we only know of 2 Chinese players attempting to qualify and only about 15 foreigners all together, it's hard to make up the other 235 by other speculation

didnt they also say there were 100 foreigners in season 1 as well ?

Imagine if he didn't get to play that tourny cause some other "named" player had automatically got a spot? He was actually invited into the tournament you are talking about, so its a bad example Lol, fair enough! Does the first half of my sentence still hold hold true? I was under the impression he was pretty much unknown by the community, but he produced some incredibly interesting games. This was the main point I was trying to make. Mostly ye, known to some parts of it (german scene, supreme commander community).
