Looks like Rain said in his interview that Haypro was the most difficult opponent he faced: http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=110992&db=interview&cate=001&page=1&field=&kwrd=

Unholyrai, indeed the current system makes qualification very difficult. It does strike me however that open, unseeded qualifiers would benefit from double elimination in order to provide a second chance from an unlucky loss. Indeed it would seem to suit the current structure where two people from each quali group are passing to the Ro64 anyway.

Mmm, I dont think its realistic unfortunately - and the really big names are probably usually gonna qualify anyway (tho in some cases, like Gon last GSL, they will get unlucky - he definitely was deserving of qualifying that time as well).

Lyn qualified? That's pretty ridiculously considering the fact that there is no way he could have had a lot of practice time lately... Awesome. Too bad Moon didn't

Noone mentioned it here so I guess we won't see Grrr try to qualify this time round?

Also I was wondering for quite some time what happened to this Apollo guy that came to Korea to become big at SC2?

Apollo is doing commentary mostly. He casted IEM Cologne with day9 and if I am not mistaken also is the main caster for the British insomnia LANs.

Only Zerg that I felt "deservers" to play in ro64 today is Losira, althought Haypro is probably also a bit better than some of these players on the list. But even in Losiras case, he was dropped out by Tankboy, a very good player himself. Still 3 days to go, we will know more tommorow.

So you are saying that Idra or Phoenix doesn't deserve to be in ro64, or am i missing something here? Thats the most idiotic thing I've ever heard if so.

Yes, you are missing something.

I was responding to this:

Gotta say that I'm surprised at how few Zergs made it through today. Especially when Blizz's ladder stats seem to indicate an increased % of Zergs in the top levels of the ladder - I took it as a sign that there were more Zerg wins going around. I know that ladder skill isn't necessarily an indication that you're tournament material, but it's not like we should completely discount ladder stats. Let's face it - you don't get to be in the top 100 by not knowing how to play the game.

I'm expecting those Zergs who do get into the Ro64 (and I'm still waiting on more this season) to go further in the tournament. In particular, I felt that we haven't seen Idra playing at his top. I'm sure this season, he'll avoid some of the mistakes he made in GSL1 and that he'll go far .

Ive now added that to my post as well as edited it a bit to make it more clear...

what? you know hes still a wc3-progamer, right?

Given the amount of games he has on his SC2 account, Id say its pretty fair to say hes an SC2 player right now.

Also, Loners jacket/shirt is fucking awesome and I want to buy one like that so much
