Believe me both myself and Unstable are open to feedback but when your beef is either cos he badmouthed your mate, or you just don't like his style or voice then you can get lost - if however you have some constructive tips to improve we can take them on board. Pretty much what del said So I have no idea why there is so much hate instantly towards me, if someone can enlighten me please do so! All I have done is try to fill the void for SEA event casts out of my own time and not asking for anything, i really dont understand why for nothing other than trying to help out the community i get flamed and abused? I will be the first to accept I am not perfect but for anyone who has been following me for a while I ask consistently after every cast for feedback on how to make my cast better. And I firmly believe that it has been getting a lot better since I started. So to that note let me respond to some of the posts. To be be fair, the stream could be improved a bit. Unstable seems to have a lot of technical issues with getting the stream running smoothly. There are also some casting problems; for example, he really needs to stop breaking off during the action to have a rant at something someone has posted in his chat stream. Trying to not sound like an excuse, the stream was live for about 9 hours straight and from what i saw there was 2 glitches technically, A) when my PC overheated and B) I hit the B key in game when i was trying to hit V I have taken steps to stop these from happening again I have ordered a better airflow system for my PC, and I will just have to be more careful with my key placement's, I;m sure everyone has had a typo or hit the wrong key bind before while playing. Also I am curious as to your dislike of the community interaction, most of the feedback I've had has been positive and people wanting more of it more often, can you elaborate? was the timing off eg missed something in game or do you just not prefer it? On October 09 2010 16:34 jabK wrote: not talking trash, he is so unbearable to listen to, its like he hardly knows the game and laughs at the dumbest shit.. just posting facts on how to improve the quality of viewing Comments like this make no sense to me, not only is it completely not constructive at all you seem to just want to bitch about something you have no control over, If i "hardly know the game" please feel free to give me a list of examples since it must happen so often in my cast that you say this with such malice. and laughing at dumb shit? I'm sure a lot of people don't like your sense of humor too its not something i can change so to that i say if you don't like it don't listen. On October 09 2010 23:55 Dfgj wrote: I thought the streams were ok, but they needed more co-ordination to cover more matches so that we could see more different games ![]() I certainly agree, however we didn't really have a choice but to go with what we had, we tried to keep the replays of the games as live as possible, also juggling who to watch with other casting teams didn't help, really its just something experience will help with over time. On October 09 2010 23:02 iaguz wrote: The accent is fucked when it comes from the mouth of a stupid person. Otherwise it's fine. Unfortunately, I kinda gotta jump on the 'i don't like the unstable stream' wagon because whilst it's technically fine, it's the fact that he's not very smart at the game. It's like Husky; enthusiasm but without the really good analysis. I usually end up rage-muting it if I'm watching it. If only we had our own Day[9]. I suppose we'd have to call him G'Day[9]. Anyway, as for my tournament experience it's been going good so far. Got some really good matchups (ie, have not run into Glade yet, woohoo!) and I must endorse the size of the prize pool. More tournieslike this and we'll have an SEA scene on our hand for sures. I really don't know where to start with this one, my first reaction is to tell you to go screw yourself because there is nothing in your post but flaming/abuse especially when I have done nothing to you whatsoever. "when it comes from the mouth of a stupid person" This comment is kinda funny, since i have had feedback from countless top players and none have told me this before, and believe me they have been extremely upfront with their opinion. All I sense from you is negativity when you say this "More tournieslike this and we'll have an SEA scene on our hand for sures" You do realise that the only way this is going to happen is if the scene GROWS right? one of the best ways to do that is to cast the tournaments, you can have issues with my stream all you want but you would be hard pressed to find a stream at the video quality/game knowledge/commitment and availability as mine. So instead of being a rude abusive tool, how about actually work with others in the community who want it to be a lot instead of abusing people try working WITH people like me and Del to make the entire experience better for everyone. Instead of what your doing now which is realistically being completely useless in the scheme of things. On October 09 2010 23:14 iaguz wrote: Because top players are dicks. Seriously. I met Glade at that sydney lan, God what a motherfucker. He tried to hide it well with smiles, jokes and friendly post-game handshakes, but the guy was an arsewipe through and through, I swear. Glade has been one of the nicest gamers i have ever met and pretty sure everyone else agree's so all you have done here is make yourself look like a tool. With all that being said If you really do find something can be improved with my stream feel free to PM me here or leave a message ingame/stream chat and i will of course do everything i can to make the stream a better experience for everyone

When I say I don't like the stream and give reasons, well, there you go! Del replied to one other hater that that person did not give proper reasons, so I gave some. Sorry you didn't like them. And I believe you misunderstood what I meant with this line: "More tournieslike this and we'll have an SEA scene on our hand for sures." This a positive line! More moneys: more enthused players: some real awesome shit. I'm not saying that we shouldn't have streamers, or that you should stop streaming or something silly like that. I'm just giving my reason why I don't watch your stream, and I tried to make it constructive (well, ok, perhaps saying "be Day9" is not very constructive, seeing as 99.9999999% of earths population is not Sean "day9" plott, but you get what I mean) other then just 'man that unstable. What a horrid guy. Burn his stream!' My point is just that whilst your casting technique is fine enough (decent obsing, not much downtime, proper enthusiasm etc) it's just that your game knowledge lacks, so I don't watch your stream. That's it. If you want, I can hop on for some of the Terran games (none of the non-terran matchups, I know dick-all about those and will just be deadweight) and try and provide a decent level TvX opinion, show you what I mean.

That's a fair response. I was only able to catch some of today's cast due to limited time, and so my comments were based partly on earlier casts such as the qualifiers and may no longer be as applicable. As for the community interaction, I guess it can be a matter of personal preference. I think if something comes up in the stream that reminds you of a fact or answer worth mentioning then it's fine to announce it, but if it turns into a conversation I find it can be irritating. My recommendation would be that if someone say asks a pertinent question or something in the stream, pick a lull in the game and address it with "we have some questions about.." or "ZergPlayerBob asks..", and give the question and answer, so that people not following the chat won't get confused, and it doesn't turn into an extended discussion. However, that's just my preference. If the audience are happy with the interaction certainly don't let me discourage you. As I pointed out in my second post, I'm overall very impressed with the effort you put into the casting. Edit: Oh and iaguz, you couldn't have made it any clearer that you were joking. I'm amazed that so many people didn't pick up on it, but don't let it worry you too much - some people just don't get these things.

This feedback is a completely different tone to "when it comes from the mouth of a stupid person" This is the feedback that is really needed to progress, and thank you for providing it. I am pretty puzzled as to how you mean my game knowledge is lacking because you are the first person to bring it up out of all the feedback i have had, it may be that we have conflicting styles in PvT my pvt is at about 1300-1400 sea server rating (insert flame)? but i agree i am learning the hard way with TvT and TvZ which is why i consistently drag people like glade/paz/pinder/ etc into stream with me any chance i get. since i did play P exclusively until i started casting. I am also playing as much as i can when i have time offracing to get a better feel for everything. It could also be as del said earlier my game knowledge is good just not as high as yours? i don't know but i do plan on doing everything i can to make it better. Sarcasm and forums dont mix yo! >.< but on a more serious note i deal heavily with body language customer service stuff, the things iaguz mentioned are real things that can set people off, once u can read body language and tone etc u can pick up soo much info from people that they don't talk about so it did seem legit.

Theres quite a few co-casters, and right now Unstable and Paz are good equal volumes, but last night during Psi Storm, I think you were right, someone was very quiet.
